Hello,

I'm about to go buy Pokemon Diamond for the DS. I've heard that you can only gain certain Pokemon when Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire is inserted into Slot 2. Would there be any benefits for having Pokemon Emerald in this slot?

All GBA versions give you this advantage. You must get the national dex first to utilize this. Anyways, Emerald will let you catch Shuckle, Gligar, Teddiursa, Ursaring, and Pineco in the wild once you have the national dex. I have firered, but also have colleseum so I have alot of johto pokemon. If you're starting out, I don't mind giving you a free Johto, Kanto, or Hoenn starter.
