Arceus is the god, so this could be the 'devil' Pokémon. But I doubt it will be a different Pokémon. Nintendo would have so many problems, especially if they have already had some because of Houndoom. Also, some say this will be the last gen. If it's true, I expect they do the G/S remake, then the third in the D/P series, and then maybe Crystal and many many spin-offs, to mantain it longer. At least this while they develop a Pokémon MMORPG.

Arceus seeing what darkari had done thretned to strip him of his power , Darkari, who though himself to be the most powerfull being alive refused to stop, and for that Arceus striped him of most of his power sent him to the mortal relm to wast away, but it was too late for Darkari had done his damage and the paridise that Arceuns had created was lost, and even though he would like to change the people's thinking, he could not for he could not meddel with free will.

I think that in America they may actually skip the number so they don't get attacked by Christian Organizations, even though they mean nothing by it. Also it's advertised toward children so if they made number 666 a super evil cool pokemon, they'd start to think that's a cool number because kids are so impressionable.

Though I do think it would cool to have a devil pokemon, opposing Arceus. Movie 15 anyone? (My guestimate of how many movies will be between the new one and the time that number 666 would come)

I don't think they'd skip it, it would be too weird to have Pokemon #665 then #667. Some fans may even speculate it to be a "hidden Pokemon." If they were really concerned about offending anyone, they'd probably just make it another regular Pokemon like the rest and not have it represent anything demonic.

I believe the man you refer to is Job (his story is found in the book of....JOB. what a suprise :P )
and there are conflicting theories about when satan was banished from heaven, whether before or after the story of Job, but alas, this is no place for theological debate.
also, on the subject of 666, you guys are a little late. the new 'big thing' is 616, because apparently some ancient scroll was found that was believed to be older (and theoretically more accurate) in which the number of the beast is said to be 616.

Well, talking seriously, 666 is nothing more than just a number which can stand for any Pokémon, from an angel-like Pokémon to a Houndoom-like Pokémon. Now the problem is that many fans want 666 to have a more special meaning, and that is making an evil Pokémon, which at the same time would make the game controversial, banned in many countries, and would ruin the entire franchise. Really, many people are complaning about Houndoom, the church in Hearthome and some other things (Read (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Pokémon)), even when Pokémon has NEVER even touched the religion subject. It would be cool, for me too, for not for nothing more than for joking. Really nobody (I think) thinks it has to be an evil Pokémon.

The number 666 is relevant in Christianity as the Mark of the Beast, and considered a sign of evil. It is believed to be a symbol of Satan, and that is why people think that a devil pokemon would be on number 666.

And also, I think that the best thing that pokemon can do would be Not to put an evil, or all powerful pokemon on that number. If they do, then pokemon will die very, very quickly. Once they get to the number, it will just be another pokemon, with nothing special about it (at least that's my guess).

It would be a gigantic mess, and worst of all, it would be bad publicity for Pokemon, seeing how more than half of the Pokemon gamers are children, parents would probably be very affended by that, especialy christian, and will stop their kids from playing the games. Now, I myslef was raised christian, but I see many problems with christians today. So I have my own beliefs. Also, I'm am not bagging on christians, but sieriously, come on, it would be a mess. Yea... Power Rangers got in a lawsuit the first season cause the Black Ranger was black and the Yellow ranger was asian...
