What do you think the next title in the Sinnoh Region will be?

Opal. It will be based off of Giratina, (Girasol), which is another name for Opal.

Despite what anyone likes, it's going to be based off of Giratina since it is the third legendary dragon. I just hope the third game changes the storyline more than the other "third games."

Crystal did. Emerald combined Ruby and Sapphire and added the battle frontier so we should expect something good from this. But I have a doubt about this third game. It's definitely going to be about Giratina, but: it isn't in the Sinnoh Dex. This means the storyline may continue until after the E4, unless Giratina is part of the plot without actually seeing/battling it, unless it's NOT part of the plot, or unless there's no third game at all.

I hope theres a third game. But what I dont get is why are people jumping to assumptions about it soo early? Atleast wait till the Japanese previews or something than say you are correct.

I dont know the name so I dont have an opinion. But. I would like this game to be the best game and give more hints about the G.S.C. remake. There are soo many clues in D.P. soo why not more in this new game.

I first thought it would be based off of Giratina but then i realised its not in the Sinnoh Dex so I was thinking it might be more focused around Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit. I've thought long and hard but I still can't come up with any conclusions

I'm just making a (reasonable) shot in the dark here, but I think the next DS title will be either a remake (of FR/LG's path) or a combo (of Emerald's fame). Maybe it'll be in that order, maybe not.

Well, if there is a third Sinnoh game, I don't think it would be Jade, because of that fake game awhile back. And I haven't a clue on the gem they'll use.

As for the cover, I would say Mesprit or Giratina, but they aren't all that great. It doesn't even have to be a legendary (Blue, Red, Yellow), but if I had to pick one I think would be on the cover, I'd have to say Cresselia.

I hope its going to be Giratina for reasons of it being a ghost and its the 3rd 4th generaation Dragon out there. But we cant assume that there is defenitly going to be based on Giratina. Because if you do a pattern in GSC Houou was on Gold, Rugia was on Silver and Suicune was on Crystal.

Could be Pokemon Topaz... that's another Gem, and seeing as there's a ton of fuss about Lucario he could be on the cover, because like someone said before, it was never a legendary on the front, such as red, blue and yellow. Or they could have Pokemon Onyx, and have a new pokemon introduced as another evolution of Onix. That would be pretty cool, but highly unlikely... :D

The thrid game will probably be Opal or Topaz, and maybe a G/S/C remake, but that has a pretty slim chance of happening. But I'd like it to.

I don't think the chances of a G/S remake coming out at the same time as the third Sinnoh Game are very slim. After all, FRLG came out at the same time (or around the time) as Emerald. And honestly I think Regigas is another possibility, though Giratina is the most likely choice. And on the matter of Mesprit, I doubt that. It was Suicune in GSC because they only had two legendaries save the trio. And Mewtwo was the only legendary save the Kanto trio. (and the legends weren't really included in the plot back in RBY)

I don't think that'll be too much of a worry for Nintendo, as there was also a fake game called Pokémon Diamond, and that didn't stop them going ahead with Diamond/Pearl for this generation. Even so, I don't think they'll go with Jade.

Opal does seem to be the obvious choice, but I really don't like the word "Opal." Oh well, won't bother me anyway as I won't be getting it.

If they plan for a 2nd release that has both legendaries and a few story tweaks like Emerald in the 3rd generation, the most likely candidates are Giratina or Arceus.

Yeah, except an Aipom would follow you around instead...Though actually it would be a good idea, so long as you have a choice of pokemon. And I don't really see Arceus as a likely candidate. He's the almighty god of pokemon, to include him in the story would make it so dramatic. The most likely choice is Mesprit since it's in the Sinnoh dex, or Giratina since it's another dragon legendary. And as you all know, my third choice is Regigias because he's so dang cool.

I'm still waiting for the remake of the Metal generation. The order of the Pokemon games has been:

Gems
RE: Color
So I actually thought that D/P would be the RE: Metal. Guess not. I still think it would be fun though, to see the Johto Region make a comeback. We'll see if it does in the future.

Actually, there is something like that in Diamond and Pearl. In the Amity Square in Hearthome city, you can actually select a "cute" Pokemon who can then follow you around (like Pikachu in Yellow) while you're in the Square. I don't see why they can't just implement it for the entire map as well.

The anime came before Yellow did.

Hmm... What about Darkrai? Darkrai is one of the main Pokemon in the same movie as Dialga and Palkia after all.

i don't know... personally, i think if Nintendo's smart, they'll come out with a G/S/C remake. Diamond and Pearl were good, but i think the time has come for the Gold and Silver Series to make a comeback. and since Diamond and Pearl run off of the DS's clock and calendar, so could a Gold & Silver Remake. besides, then no one would have to cheat to get the Legendary Dogs, right? i mean, for those who don't have Colosseum or Gales of Darkness.

and on that note, i think Nintendo needs to come out with a new Pokémon game on the Wii (other than Battle Revolutions) that's more like the GB/GBC/GBA/DS games. i mean, it was sort of fun to catch and heal Shadow Pokémon, but i think its time for a full blown, R/B/Y G/S/C R/S/E FR/LG D/P like game. one where you can run around in the grass, catch wild Pokémon, fight trainers along Routes... you know. hey, maybe that's what they can do a remake of G/S/C on, the Wii. wouldn't it be cool to see our favorite region, Johto, in 3D? and because of the Wii Remote, make it so you can actually play with and wash your Pokémon, pet them... you know, make it 10 million times more interactive than they have ever been. not that they couldn't do that with the DS if they really wanted to. the 3D capabilities on the DS are higher than they give it credit for. i mean, look at Super Mario 64 DS. the graphics for that were better than the 64 version. yeah... i'm getting off track, though. lol

That, is a good idea! Although I don't have a Wii, actually caring for your pokemon would be awesome! Plus, having more features such as 'officially' becoming a Breeder, Contest Person, and such... But maybe Nintendo want to keep the RPG (is that it?) to the handheld. But those features could work on the DS, since of the stylus...

Let's see...what if we had two main legendaries? They could implement a kind of Cresselia vs. Darkrai plot, but then it would get pretty messy since there's already Palkia and Dialga to deal with. I do think Pokemon Onyx starring Darkrai would be cool, though. They wouldn't be able to use that name because of Onix, though.

They could make it really different and let you work with Galaxy, trying to find Darkrai...Though that would be an entirely different game on it's own. That would actually work as a Colleseum, 3D style game.

Though Pokemon Coral sounds like a really good name.

I think they made a mistake making Darkrai an event pokemon because the sick boy plot could have a lot of background. Plus it would put Cresselia on the map more.

I hope they unraval the Old Chateau story a little more.

I bet that they could actually improve on the old Chateau, a lot, and have it connect to Giratina in some large plot affecting way. Besides the majority of the Galactic story is boring, I think they could triple the Chateau in size, have stronger pokemon there, etc. And have some weird plot battle in the final room.

I mentioned this earlier but I really like your idea of tripling the size, I can't standit I get freaked out if I play it at night but I love it too!

And I agree, I don't like the sound of "Opal" for a game, either. Hey, maybe it won't even be a gem of some sort, since Gold and Silver aren't gems (same with RBY), and the third of that series was a gem, so maybe they'll make it something from the table of elements (Gold, Silver). But, hey, maybe I'm thinking so far out of the box I can't see it anymore.

Nintendo is making cold hard cash with these pokemon games, They don't make the games for the children, they make them for money.

That's why they decline all requests for a Johto remake.

If they will make a third game, t wouldn't be called Onyx. Pokemon would never make a "black" version. I like Jade, but that goes along with Emerald..
