View Full Version : Battles! Hoo-ahh!

Well, my old battle thread has sort of died... so I've creaed a new one. Old rules still apply:
- Level 100, 6 vs. 6, no Legendaries/Ubers/Hacks.
- No clauses, no other bogus rules.
Just a little bit of mano-a-mano. ;)
I'll probably be able to do one battle tonight, if that... but tomorrow I can do a lot more. If I don't reply to you right away, don't fret! I shall get back to you as soon as possible, I'm just often on and off of my computer.
As always, my ever-important record thus far:
Wins: 17
Losses: 3

I'm up for a battle. Just one thing, items are allowed as long as the most copies of a single item is 2. As in, 2 leftovers. Alright?
Also, is it okay if I tape it and stick it up on Youtube?

The two-item thing is a no go (I'm what you call a "freelance battler" haha), but if you're okay with that, then we can get to it.
And why would you want to tape it and put it on youtube? You that confident? :P

Sure. Let me wait a few minutes to see if Cema gets back to me (first come first serve, I'm afraid), but if not, we can do this!

I just like taping my battles. Gives them a more epic feel when you watch it with awsome music in the background. Plus, it helps me learn from my mistakes. And can I put one item on each pokemon, with no repition?

Oh, YOU can! But I can't promise the same from me.

o.o
I'm on challenge mania tonight.
Whenever you're done, perhaps we can battle sometime tonight. I've got a little list of 'to battles' tonight - so add me, and we'll see. If you're up for it?

Good battle! Letme just say that Aerodactle of yours is bloody FAST. I was in shock when it outran my Gengar. And I should have thought a bit more carefully with that Magnezone... I saw it in your profile, but didn't know if you'd actually use it.
They don't call it the Skarmory killer for nothing! lol
It's always the same story when I battle... 5 players weaken the enemy, and Metagross finishes them off. Very few battles have ended with someone other than my Metagross wrecking havoc. I luvs him. :)

Steel, Aero has a higher base speed than Gengar, so unless it's an Adamant Aero and a Timid Gengar, Gar will be outsped almost everytime.

actually, Adamant Aero would still outrun Timid Gar.

That's the first Aero I've ever come across, so I didn't quite know what to expect. And my Gar IS Timid, and was still outrun.
I was actually even more shocked that a Crunch from him didn't OHKO my Gengar (5HP left, but still no OHKO! haha). And then Thunderbolt failed to OHKO Aero... damn Focus Band, or Focus Sash, whatever they have nowadays.
Funniest thing is that my Skarm finished him off with a Drill Peck. XD
What's even funnier is that my Gengar went on to kill a different Poke of Cema's.

That's assuming both have been properly IV/Ev trained, which the bulk of people here don't do, and some even consider it cheating.

People consider IV/EV training to be cheating? Isn't that like the Pokemon equivalent of believing the Holocaust never happened?
haha, I kid! :P

Hmm, not quite the comparison I would use, but yes, it's silly.

I'm actually going to bed very soon... effing work tomorrow. But tomorrow night if you're on, consider it a date! Okay?
