Firts you go to your user cp and look for avatar change then you save the sprite as a bmp and hit browse.

I know this might not be possible but could you make a Bird Keeper sprite with the cage removed, the red vest changed to black, and make one (or two if possible) of his hands holding a gun? Trying to make a Hitman. If the gun part isn't possible forget it.

okay, you notice at the bottom of the screen, there is a file selector. at default, it is set at .bmp but you can change it. click on the arrow, and select .jpg imports. then save it. demonchaos, Sparks and i are having issues finding a bird keeper sprite in the first place, but we will keep looking
