You got the topic title read and you might have got it right...
This poll is here, for members to vote whether you think Pokémon USA's plans on Pokémon are going from good to bad, bad to worse, worse to hellistic.
Why?
- Choosing to release the last 2 movies Limited Release
- Website gone all kids-devoted and slow
- Too much promos in America and not in other countries since after the promos for the originals in their 1995 and after releases
- Other reasons (post any if you like).
Also, if this poll shouldn't be here or should be locked, I'm sorry, I was a bit out of control.

I don't think pokémon's marketing was very good to begin with...anyone remember the oold Red/Blue commercials and ads...they just sucked >.<
in fact, it was the slowness of pokemon.com that drove me to seek out a new means of pokémon news...fansites and forums like this...

Yeah, I remember those old Red, Blue, and Yellow commercials. >_>; *shudders*
The thing that bothers me the most about the American Pokémon company was their agreement for that limited release thing. I never got to see Pokémon Heroes just because our theater wasn't an IMAX one, and we weren't planning on driving two hours to the next largest city to see it any time soon.
I'm not even going to start about the other things on my list, but... I thought the new layout for the Pokémon site was cute. ^_^; But I still agree that it doesn't have enough information about the shows, etc.

Marketing plans gone down allright
- Abandoned Ditto
- All limited releases for movies
- Game Prices are incredebilly too high (39.99 or 34.99 for pokemon r/s.. what a laugh.. )
- More Reasons...
- Too many filler pokemon episodes .... Sadly...
- Took fretures out of the japanese verson. (like moble phone battling, etc.)
And the old games (r/b/y) was horrible... Those people back then wasn't very good making a metagame. (no offence)

Yeah, but US GBA games are now 16 megabytes big, that's a lot of data for the price. It's reasonable to have a price increase for that much in that small of a cart.

but isn't there more room for a day/night system?
Kairi

It's not that there wasn't room, it's just they didn't want to put it in for whatever reason.

day and night system "still exist" in a rather crappy way... it only affects synthesis, morning sun and moonlight now. That's the only purpose.
I guess that since "little kids" can't wake up so early in the morning or stay up so late at night some Pokemon are forced to be "abandoned" by these little kids... so why put it in then? however first of all little kids never put in the correct time anyway, and secondly it's not even the little kids who play the game the most.
i can't blame the filler episodes as they can't make everything always exciting, plus japan has to suffer like that too. However marketing plans for Pokemon in NA certainly sucked... also how they're only focusing on America is really biased... Canada only has 2 location for major tcg tournaments- Toronto and Vancouver. Even Montreal which is the 3rd biggest city in Canada doesn't have it... Pokemon is rather "provided" to only very limited location, and within Toronto and Vancouver the place where they hold tournaments are not even that convenient.

It gives me all sorts of ideas to move to America. I hated Limited Release, but now it seems that it isn't only the movies affected... HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I GET MY 4EVER VHS?

Ack, yeah. >_> And with that fat bus driver who kept laughing once he squashed them all into the Gameboy. I kept having the same nightmare after that. *holds her Raichu doll tightly* Be really glad you missed that one, Shigeru-san. o_o

Eh... first of all, do you know why they don't release the Pokemon movies nationwide? There's not enough demand. Sure, you'll get money from the diehard fans who still exist, but really. Think about how many people in your class at school will be saying, "Oh!! Wow!! The 6th Pokemon movie is coming out!" as opposed to the other mainstream movies. Very, very few, right? That's what I thought. It's cheaper for them to do it this way. I could be wrong, though, so contradict me if you must, but I just don't see Pokemon as being big enough to get a big release anymore. Also, Pokemon USA has no say over the episodes made in Japan. If they do, it's very limited. The filler episodes are decided by the directors of the anime out in Japan. The games are expensive because they are Gameboy Advance games. Notice how those are more expensive than the regular games? It's no different than with RuSa. Besides, it's just under $50 Canadian. :P Be happy. And for the record, I think they took the mobile phone ability out of Pokemon Crystal since a few years ago, there were WAY less cell phones owned by the target audience than there are now, so it would've been near useless. =\
Eh... I think Pokemon USA Inc. is doing fine. Do you know how expensive commercials are? I'm suprised to see the RuSa Pinball commercial on so much on Canadian channels. Especially since it's, well, Canada. XD;; They completely ruined their website, though. X_x It's more confusing than ever to navigate, they barely have any news, and their games website is terrible. =\ I miss the old one.

Do you mean the one with those nice little animated gif PokéBalls on the side that start animating a zooming PokéBall animation everytime you scrolled over it? That was smart...
Flash? It's not good on every computer...
Who likes the Japanese Pokémon Website better?

I like it better because I always feel proud when I'm able to read and understand some of the words. XDDDD
I browse Japanese websites a lot. Especially fanart sites. @_@ They all draw so prettyfuly~ (Yeah, I know it's not a word.)

I only understand Japanese when there's a little Kanji... XD; (Since some are the same as Chinese...) Anyway, i think it went from good to worse... x_x; Don't ask me why... *shrugs* (BTW, the r/b/y commercial sounds scary. o.o; I'm glad that I didn't see that one. o.o; )

o.o The Pokemon on the bus one wasn't really scary, if that's what you're referring to. It was just weird. x_X
;_; I only know about 50 kanji and they never really use many of the ones I know on websites. XD;
