This is like the first pokemon game where the mom accually leaves the freakin house. when I met her at the poke contest I was like HOLY CRAP what are you doing out of the house O_O.

Now, back on topic (hopefully that will lighten the beating I'm about to receive from the mods)

The mom is pointless in every game except for G/S/C. She actually served a purpose in the second gen, by saving money for you. Yeah, yeah, she heals you, but if you're pokemon are so banged up from the two feet you have to walk from the first city that you have to have your mom heal them, then I'd consider a little more training.

And I agree the Mom leaving the house isn't sexist, and you can't just TELL a mod to lock a thread, they'll eventually see it and look it over to see if nothing's wrong. They lock it if they want.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised when she came to the contest and gives you the Dress/Tuxedo. I was like "WHOA! Mom?" xD Yes, I'm that into the game.

The D/P one does give you your costume and a poffin... so it isn't completely pointless. But I do miss the G/S/C money saver, XD that was pretty handy.
