Darkrai! Info on special event(in japan...) [Archive]

After looking at the Japanese pokemon website, i have come to the conclusion that in Japan, people will go see the 10th movie in theaters, there will be a mystery gift machine that will give you darkrai. If this is old news, then excuse my slowness

i'm sure it would work, i do tons of stuff with my jap pearl adn my eng pearl and it all works

its a machine that sends out a signal to your ds's, kinda like the wii does in PBR

I don't know why they just don't do a mass online Mystery Gift of Darkrai the day the movie comes out period. Regardless of where it's coming out. It would eliminate the hacks and clones if they just sent it to everyone that unlocked the Mystery Gift. IMO of course, and I say this knowing that I have a hacked Darkrai, but I really want a Japanese version.

Because, if they sent Darkrai out through Wi-Fi, the the Pokémon would no longer be "rare" and anyone with a DS, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and Wi-Fi would have the Legendary. I'm pretty sure that anyone with the first two is going to have Wi-Fi so most likely everyone would have the Pokémon. There's a reason why they make these events.

not realy. there are over 2 million copys sold, but i'd say about 5000 use forums frequiently. that would mean a very small number of people would have mystrgy gift unlocked and know what to do with it on that day. it would lose soem rarity, but there would still be less darkrai then players

most likely once the event happens, we will be able to get darkrai on the gts, same for shemii/shamin when nintendo decides to release it.

You know guys, when you finish all the colosseum battles in PBR, go to the shop & buy for 0 point the mystery gift & you will get a "surfing pikachu" & the "member card" to get Darkrai from Diamond & Pearl game.

I heard about the pikachu but this is the first time I heard about the member card in PBR. Can anyone confirm/dismiss this?

So now it's the 15th in Japan. Anyone able to confirm that they released Darkrai? I just checked the GTS and nothing. Maybe no one is trading him, but I figured at least one person in Japan would.

I finished all the colosseum battle in PBR in which the mystery gift is available for you to buy from the shop. When you connect your DS to get this mystery gift, you need to go to any shop in your DS & talk to the guy in the green suit; you'll first get your surfing pikachu, talk to him again, and you'll receive a member card, and that's what i used to get inside the old inn and Canaclave city (which is right above the pokemon center).You also have to have beaten the elite four, & have the National Pokedex. It's TRUE. I did it & I have my very own Darkrai :D

Darkrai is lame, anyway. It just looks stupid.

Besides, all my past Event Legendaries were free *pokes Lv70 Celebi, Latios and Raikou he got from the event at the mall last year*

Cool today i got a L30 Untouched Mew.
It's from the Island or wherever this dude gave me it for a Shiny Aggron.

Yeah, the event I went to was rad. They gave me a Celebi and two rare Pokemon for each cartridge.

I got Celebi, Typhlosion and Raikou on my FireRed (I later realized this was stupid because I chose Squirtle so I could have caught Raikou in the wild)

and I got Celebi, Latios and Dragonite on my Sapphire ^_^

I'm no good at catching shineys ;(

But anyways, back on topic... Darkrai just annoys me because people are all obsessed with him. They're like, "OMG, DARKRAI PWNS EVERY OTHER PKMN LOLZ" and devote their lives to it. Personally I think he looks lame, like an over-hyped Misdreavous on steroids, and idk he just bugs me.

I'm just uninterested in him because there are so many D/P legendaries, so he seems unoriginal to me XD

But hey it's still an event one.
Apparentally some dudes selling Jap Untouched ones for 20$ on eBAY.
At the Aussie Nintendo Connection Event today there were all these dudes with hacked DarkRai and Arceus.
Some dude had a L11 Shiny Hacked Shaymin.
I don't liked hacked ones.
My Mew is untouched and legit =P.

We got the member card from pbr, went to the inn above the pokemon center in canaclave, our characters went to sleep in the bed there, and we ended up on new moon island where we found darkrai, and we caught our own. No wi-fi trading involved at all! I can send you a picture of the member card if you want. anyone that's finished with all the colosseum battles go to the shop and try what i said. And you'll get your own darkrai.

Why would I LIE?! Where would that lead me? I'm just telling you what happened to my game, & that's the TRUTH... I had my sister & cousin link to get the mystery gift & they both got their pikachu & member card, my cousin was not able to use her card since she has not defeated the elite 4. It's up to you if you believe or NOT, I do NOT care. But the least you can do is try what I did, it would not HURT & please, DO NOT call me a LIAR, because I am NOT! Also, regarding hacked member card, I tried the AR version & it NEVER worked!

I don't think anyone would like to trade these...

Considering that not only will it have at least 10 points increased in each stat (up to like 50 in the Sp. Attack stat i think) AND it has Roar of Time(Dialga), Spacial Rend(Palkia), and its own special attack...
