Whats your Favourite moveset for Charizard or Infernape? Is it effective? How can it be countered?

As I haven't used Infernape yet... I won't provide a favourite moveset.

As for Charizard, I like having this:
- Flamethrower
- EQ
- Focus Blast
- Dragon Pulse

It's easily countered, I just like how the attacks look ;D

For Charizard, I enjoyed my own moveset of:
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw
Slash
Metal Claw

It might not work well in competitive play, but it did well enough for me to defeat FireRed.

For Infernape, I'm going to use this move in competitive play:
Infernape@Choice Band
Nature: Jolly.
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP.
Blaze
-Flare Blitz
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-U-Turn/Thunderpunch/Mach Punch

Just start pounding on everyone, and U-Turn if a Ghost-type comes out.

I'm done...for now. xD

XD, I kinda needed to know before restarting in D/P.
I'd say Charizard could probably handle Infernape quite well.
Personally I go for Blaziken right now, I'm used to it. But that may change after using Infernape for a little while. It is pretty much a copy though... Fire/Fighting.

For battles yes, but certainly not for contests. They're pretty much the some of the much stronger Pokemon in battling right now. With Infernape dominating the D/P Fire Pokemon, xD as there really only are like 5.

Depends on how they are trained. They look better suited for battling, but they could be used in contests. Just depends on what their trainer wants them to do, I guess. Or what they want to do.

They have a very large movepool, and have better chance of countering all their Enemies.

They're both good and very commonly used Pokemon. Infernape is the only one to be used outside of the Champion or Rival though, so it could be that it's thought of to be a good one to have against challengers.

Both did well for me. My Charizard held up well in the battle against Lance, using her Dragon Claw to be super effective against his dragons without getting double the damage back. And my Infernape defeated Cynthia's Lucario (her last Pokemon when I challenged her) with one hit. I love them both, and couldn't pick one over the other.

i dunno..... i like flamethrower since it has high accuracy and high attack power.... and i like flare blitz because its strong but you loose health when you use it.... if you have a item that doesn't make you take recoil damage then it would be flare blitz... if not then i would choose flamethrower


also i am not sure if charizard can learn flare blitz i just saw it on a random website but i am not sure if it is true

Yes it can, at Level 66 or as an egg move.

Most powerful one shot/one turn move for both of them is definitely Blast Burn. For a number of turns, that's not as ideal due to the recharge problem though. Otherwise Flamethrower, or Close Combat/Focus Blast.

1337-ness? Umm.. well done.

They're both good in the competitive game. Infernape may have the upper advantage though, but Charizard does do some mean damage to a number of things.
