Are Darkrai and Shaymin considered "legit" if you glitch, but not hack it?
Ex: E4 glitching

To me, it's legit.

Not our fault if the glitch was there.

I consider Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus legit if the event item itself is the only thing hacked and you went to the actual location to get the REAL Pokemon itself. It's the same thing you would have gotten had you attended a real event, and it's just as moral and/or immoral as exploiting a glitch, so why do so many people have poles up their rears about them? <.<;;

I really don't care if it's legit or not. Whether you consider it legit depends on if you think a glitch is legit. Would you call me out if I said I had a legit Sky Attack Rhydon? Though that's not the best of examples since they will be obtainable in the future, the glitch is just quicker. However, sadly my Sky Attack Rhydon will most likely not be.

According to the PC and the game's "data", it's legit if you do the glitch or hack the item. For me, it's okay to do it if you can't go to events and you just want your PokéDex complete, but I'd never dare to call it "legit".

The farthest I'm going with mine is to EV train up a 'rai and an Arc' to use in the offline colosseums in PBR. :P

They are legit because shaymin is like most all right legendaries it is all around in the high 260s, even dark rai is legit because some one such as palkia or kyogore can have the same or higher base special attack, itis just the attack and ability of dark rai that is a bit unf air because of his attack dark void that puts both foes to sleep in a double battle, plus his ability which makes them lose hp everyturn if a sleep this with dream eater is an extremely deadly combination even if you add nightmare which also adds damage everyturn is lethal in any battle alos he is a fast pokemon so you neevr know

In PBR i have this code for a spiritomb with wonder guard so i will never to max train with evs ect because he has no weakness so you cant lay a hit it is quite legit looking. The good thing is it learns follow me so the opposing pokemon cant attack anyone but spiritomb

so ichida are you saying that if the items to go to like the emerald dyoxus and mew and other guys like that can be hacked but the pokemon wont ?

Technically the Pokemon itself would be 100% legit, but other people will probably still call it hacked since you hacked the item to reach it. Some people just don't appreciate a good loophole...

HAX!!! *Slap* It isn't "legit-looking." Don't dare use that against another player, seriously.

Legitimacy differs from person to person really. As an MMO player, I have it in my mind that any form of exploit, hack or glitch, is wrong, and in said MMOs, such exploiting would earn you the perma-ban. XD But since this isn't an MMO, legitimacy is based on the consensus, which in Pokémonland, means that glitch exploits are OK, but 3rd party exploits (hacking) are still bad.

Nothing, that was just about the ethics of glitching and hacking lol. Didn't direct that towards you.

But in your case, as Ichida pointed out, the legendaries themselves are legit, as you hacked for the items. The actual Pokémon you caught are what they should be, but because you got them in an illegit way, others may not like to trade for them if they realize this.

Edit: The really bad hacking is when you use a code to encounter a certain Pokémon somewhere you shouldn't. Also the codes for making things you catch be shiny and with perfect, or beyond perfect, stats and abilities (like that Spiritomb with Wonder Guard).

I agree with Ichida i mean the pokemons code is a hundered percent legit the item just isn't i mean people might not have the money to go to all the events so hacking the item is the only way to get the pokemon.

*Nods with a smile* Those are my exact beliefs, right there. I just don't see why other people can't understand this way of thinking.

you have to pay if its out of town and i hate the wait in line thing it kills me sitting there for two hours to get a pokemon i can't use on PBR wifi anyway.

I think it's legit even if you AR'd the items because thats only one little bit of data what harm could it do because you you might live outof USA or Japan (like me) so you wouldn't be able to get to the Event. But even though where I live you can't buy an ARI'd still call it legit.

Well the thing is, there are people (like me, actually) who see only Pokémon with the correct OT and place caught information to be legit. A Pokémon that you get by using a hacked special event item is legit as far as using it yourself, but when it comes to trading, it depends on the ideals of the person with whom your trading. To such people, a Mew found by using a hacked item is like a forged celebrity's autograph. But to others, it may as well be the real thing. So if you're hacking for event items, just keep in mind who you will have to be trading with if you decide to do so.

It's possible to obtain the legit Darkrai/Shaymin. Otherwise, there'd be no events. You can determine their legitimacy by several factors, of which I will not go into detail.

Well to some of us,those events can be too far away for us.:disappoin

If you took a look at the trading rules, you'll see that we consider glitching legit. Case closed, kthx.
