Alakazam question

I've been looking at move sets that people have been suggesting here for Alakazam and there is one thing I don't get. A lot of the move sets suggest using Psycho Cut. Is there any specific reason? Alakazam already has a STAB with Psycic, and Psycho Cut is a physical attack with less power. Is there just something that I'm not seeing?

They don't know what they're talking about then. Psycho Cut is a physical move, while Psychic is special, which is what Zam loves. <3

Unless someone wants to really surprise someone with a Swords Dance Baton Passing to a physical Zam, but...meh, >_>. I wouldn't do that. I DO wanna' try though...

Don't do it. Even with Swords Dance, he's too weak.

I wonder if anyone has tried a Physical Alakazam

It's more of a joke...and I wouldn't exactly go about calling it weak. An Adamant Zam with Swords Dance to it has an attack power of 436. That's pretty scary...and now now I'm really tempted to try it.

It could be because of the high critical hit chance along with Stab for Psycho Cutter.

Actually the Physical moveset would include the Elemental Punches

-Thunderpunch
-Ice Punch
-Fire Punch

yeah, samson mentioned CB alakazam not too long ago, but it's more for surprise. it'll only work against someone the first time. anyway, one extreme speed from arcanine or lucario and it's a gonner.

Well, unless I'm forgetting something, Arcanine and Lucario aren't two pokes I'd have Alakazam go up against. :/
