If I have a Pokemon holding a Macho Brace how many battles against Pokemon that give +1 EV points would I need to have to max out a stat?

Macho Brace doubles EVs, so you'll get 2 EVs per battle. Aiming for 252 EVs, you'll need to battle 126 Pokemon to max that stat.

Alternatively, using the appropriate Power Item will give you 5 EVs per battle, so aiming for 252 EVs you'll need to battle 51 Pokemon to max the stat (with the 51st battle switching to the brace).

Also, if you feed appropriate vitamins, you can reduce that to 76 battles with the brace or 31 with the Power Item.
