Okay, I'm back from my long weekend.

Anyway, sirwillis, there really wont have to be any moderation, but of course there will be. See, by word ban, I'll be able to make it so that if someone types a certain word, or phrase, it wont appear. Which takes away the whole cursing thing.

Second, many people will also try to hack the game, why? Because its a game, and because its online, they're gonna try to hack it even more. But the online server will have a the games script in it as well, so taht when people log on and the've hacked their scripts, the server wont let them connect. Because the server will scan the players game script, and if there is anythign that isn't right, they will not be able to log on. Which stops hackers right in their tracks.

Also, moderators will be chosen before the game even launches, which is something no one has to worry about.

Oh, and about the whole "Silver League", I just called it that because I'm pretty sure that more than half the population of Pokemon fans wouldn't know what I meant if I were to say Silver Conference. So yes, I already knew its true name, and yes, it will be called Silver Conference in the game.

Dark Wolf, I still have to do more research on the Silver Conference. I will report my disision when I come to it.

cjerian, I can not see the banner, so yeah....

Oh, and yes, the Whirl Cup will be apart of the game, I myself can't wait to implement that part and also, the whirl islands will be how they're supposed to be. If anyone actually noticed, I made all the islands. So, Johto will be very fascinating in terms of adventure.

why not use gameguard? i know its used in alot of free online games, so you could probly use it for this one

but the thing is if you use stuff like game guard where hackers have already had experience trying to hack into stuff like that. then you'll put yourself at more of a risk. i actually suggest havin a backup so if the hacker figures out how to deal with one part then the other will still block him out. kinda like having 2 firewalls. im just saying it may work better to have a second line of defense when your done. but thats up to you

Well, from what I can remember about the whirl cup, I think only water pokemon were allowed. And if so, than I will most likely make only water pokemon be able to fight. But, I still have to do research on it.

Well, I would like to say thank you to everyone for all their inspirational comments. But I ahve a few thigns to discuss.

First.
I'm sorry for the delay on the presentation of Route 3, an unexpected decision has come up in my life right now, and now I'm up in Washington!! So, I have no access to my computer at the moment, but I will be able to reveal Route 3 in about a week and a half. Once again, I'm very sorry the delay, this was unexpected.

Maxim, I can understand where you are coming from. Everything that I and my team are working for is a big thing. Something that shouldn't be tried lightly. But I made my decision long ago. And I'm not stepping down, the only step I'm taking is the next one up. My dream career is to become a video game designer, so I would never back down on doing something I love and charish. This game is for the people and fans of Pokemon, and repesents my thankfulness to Nintendo. I understand the obsticles that my team and I will have to overcome, but that doesn't stop us, and never will it stop me. I've come to far to just give up and call it quits.

No we will not. This game is completely different from ROM's and Hack's, it uses completely different systems, so it is not compatible with the DS or any other system except the computer. And that's true with all games in this section.

How about certain objects cannot be affected unless the Pokemon has a required level

I know if that really explain it well but its kinda like;

Small Boulder can be move with any Pokemon using strength

Normal Boulder can only be move by a Pokemon over Lv20 using strength

Large Boulder can only be move by a Pokemon over Lv40 using strength

and etc...

I reckon that a system like this would stop people using HM slaves, as well as keeping low level trainers out of an area with high level Pokemon.

Because I don't think everyone would be satisfied in being dressed as Wally all the time. :/ But, there might have to be some limits to customization, I mean, isn't there like, a bagillion clothe articles in BR? To be honest, people like this are the main reason behind the new policy on the T/I forum. People who have never been involved in a successful project assuming that because there are no videos/there hasn't been much news lately/the owner hasn't been on recently, the project is dead/fake/unlikely to be finished... It annoys me so. Speaking from experience, I've gotten the most done during those times where I wasn't updating. If you don't have to spend time on the news announcement, last-minute polishing for the presentation, etc., you can get far more done. People who don't understand that need to stop interfering.

Well, even if CR was real (though we all know it wasn't), most of its expected features wouldn't make it to the game because they were just IMPOSSIBLE to do. That's what led me to think that CR was a hoax. Later, when I tried to say it publicly, all my posts got deleted to hide the truth that the game was fake (as you could see, one of the moderators was Darkgoten's strong supporter and acted as his right hand, of course it was him who wanted to hide the truth).

I think same goes here. It may not be fake, but mapping all the regions, spriting, making scripts, programming the game's features would take... let's say, five years. This game surely looks more real than CR, but still, it's very hard to do. Five years is enough for a programmer to be tired and abandon the project.

Before I left for Washington, I had just about finished Route 3. But, then I left abruptly, and therefore, I did not finish it. Seeing how it is Tuesday, I think that I could get it up by tomorrow.

Wow, this is amazing! I really like what this project has to offer and keep up the good work, however one thing concerns me. What about the Trainer Classes? The trainer sprites for DP were bigger than the sprites from the other games, so I am wondering if all the trainer classes from all the game will be in the game and those that weren't in DP, will they be resprited so everything is uniform?

I already searched this thread from "Trainer Classes" and found nothing on this issue, and I apologize if it's been brought up before.

Now, I know that you said you would include anime characters, but I just want to know if we will see the generic Hikers, Youngsters, Lasses, etc. in this game. Will we also see new Trainer Classes?

I seriously have never been this busy in my life. I know I said that I would reveal Route 3 last week, but due to my leave to washington, I had a lot of stuff to make up for, mostly chores though. I am very sorry for all of this everyone, I'm trying so hard to find time to get everything in, but its almost impossible right now. Mainly because I'm moving to a different state next month, so along with chores, moving to another state on the other side of the country, and also going back to washington for another week; I'm preety booked.

But things are looking up! I will be leaving for my dad's house this weekend, and because of that, I will be able to contribute about 99% of my time to working on Pokemon TLW. I will be leaving thursday, so to all my friends who I talk to on MSN, I will be online thursday night.

So, with me going to my fathers house, Route 3 should be done by Friday, and I will also reveal a few more things about the game that will make any pokemon fan squeel like a little girl!

Well, once again, I'm sorry for the delay in everything, I'm trying my best. I'm also sorry for any applications that I have not replied to, all that applied should hopefully get a deliberated reply by the end of this weekend.

Just a quick question:
I was looking at the world map for TLW and I couldn't help noticing the area north of Kanto. I could be wrong, but is that the Holon region from the TCG?
I ask because of the large lake and nearby island.

If it is then that would be one of the most intresting parts of the game. It would be great for regional variations. DELTA POKéMON for the win.
Who can argue with a Electric-type Charmander or a Psychic-type Septile.

If it isn't then TLW is still one of the best looking fan-games i've ever seen. I am highly anticipating it's release.

wow, this game sounds amazing.
but... I've seen the viridian map, and I'm afraid it isn't the best map, in terms of game play.
consider these points:
-the pokemon center is the most visited place in the game.
by foot or by taxi, it's simply too far to be convient.
- that large map is gonna lag. especialy when online.
-if you have a max of 30 players, do you need all that empty space?
-in every house lives an NPC, you need to map every house, make-up NPC text ..more work, and a waste of time.
-actually, every spot in the map that has no function in the game, is a waste of your time. mostly players won't visit there if they have no reason to.
-It's a nice screenshot, but in-game you see a small part of the map. players will see less tidy circles and squares, and more solid grey color everywhere.

well, I'll leave you with that. I have to say it's a good map, visually speaking, it's just the empty space that's a problem. if it were just smaller and less spaced out, it'll be a great map.

With making a game in sphere you have simple graphics handling facilities a map engine and a scripting engine.

You have to make the item system, the battle system the day night system and any other systems you want from scratch. You have to mkae all your maps from scratch.

Guys, there is no reason to get so offended when someone speaks in another language or calls this game a hack. you should remember the order of the regions of japan (pokemon world) when making this (if we can just walk over which im pretty sure your not allowed to do in Japan for the Regions) Shinnou is on top then Jhoto and Kanto and then Honnen or however you spell them

This game is great! I'm pretty sure it could even top the 'real' pokemon games. My only concern is that it will involve too much from the anime (I think that's how you spell it. =/ ). It's nice to make the game more 'realistic', but I don't think it would be good to have entire cities based of of ones anime exclusive. Small cameos I would be fine with, but I'm not so keen on the idea of having an entire region based off of something only seen in the show (orange islands). I think it's fine having extremely large cities, unlike some people, but I think it would be convenient to have something like hotels near the entrances to the city. That way, if your last pokemon is poisoned, you can enter the hotel and pay a small price to heal your pokemon before it faints if a pokemon center is too far away.

At last... I made it... It took me 2 Whole days to read all these posts... But I am happy... This Game is my Big Dream come true... *cries*

Ok. First of all! Captain Arcane is my HERO And i really like the positive way Atomic_Reactor and Heatran / VC replies and answers everyone questions... ;) U guys are really cool and i like your atitude keep up the good work... *big claps*

Second... This Will be the best Pokemon fan game in History... Reading all the 1226 posts was really worth it... Keep up the good work... I will be cheering all the way for u guys! (CA,AR,VC and the rest of Pokemon TLW Team.) The story i read that CA wrote was really sad + and its a way to tell everyone to not to give up on their dreams...

This game has no words of explaining how wonderfull it would be... This is really a dream coming true... I KNOW u will keep up the good work and do the best you can for it to be 100% fully perfect... :D

The one thing I would like to do is have a journey like the Anime.
Have 2 friends go on a journey with me.

That'd probably be the best thing imo. But so far...I'm in love with it because I actually feel like the Anime made it to the game. The towns are so big, and Pallet Town is the way it's supposed to look. Not small and cramped, but Large with space to roam. Now Viridian City, You don't know how much I love the look of it. Big City. Anime ftw. I didn't read much after the first post but, can you go to all the other regions?
