Latios or Latias? (possible spoilers)

Ok well I'm almost ready to face the Elite 4. Once I beat them I guess my mom gives me a choice between Latios or Latias. Which is a better choice?

Latios in my opinion, i think it's stronger =o

Latios has stronger offensive stats, so I usually go with him.

i would pick latias, just so i can capture latios at lv.50 with the ion ticket.
