I've only ever seen a wild shiny ponyta on my gold version (other than red gyara ofc) oh and that frikken espeon on LG that constantly taunted me in the tower :(
I know someone who has a legit shiny charizard on leafgreen.
I will steal it when i get pal park going.

You know how pal park takes the 6 pokemon in your team from GBA game? What're you left with on the gba game?
