I can't figure out how he could stand up after that.

I seen this on TV and it was slowed down. What I thought was shattered (when he hit the halfpipe) turned out to be his shoes. Lol.
Well, anyway, poor guy, but he's okay. A bruised lung and a headache. It's a bit of a shame though. He started off really well.

I think the farthest I ever fell was about 7 or 8ft (243 cm). I was on top of my house. Don't ask. :P Nothing critical. But since I was so young, I thought I broke both of my legs. Lol.

Well, that's one of the reasons I'm aganst skateboarding. There's many risks to it, and you can recieve great, (and possibly fatal) injurys if you're not careful.
But then again, he was in the X games...

It was pretty funny to me. That is why I don't skateboard off high ramps.

I watched that as it happened last night!
My dad fell 40 feet, And broke his leg, pelvis, all the ribs on his right side, collar bone, 4 vertebrate in his back, and chipped a bone in his neck.
And this freaking guy gets up after falling 10 more feet?!
PS. My dad is perfectly fine, he can walk and stuff.
EDIT: [EWW, AL ROKER IS IN THAT MSN VIDEO]

Perhaps he was too stoned to feel it? :P
I personally can't stand skate boarding. If I liked it (Despite my agility and gracefulness) I doubt I'd skate board well...let alone do an "ollie"...whatever that is.

I personally would have liked more blood or a cracked in head or something ~silence~ WHAT?!
I feel sorry for him actually.I would not(Maybe) survive.

I saw it on tv and nearly pisses my pants. The announcers had so much time from when he fell off his board to when he hit the ground it was almost funny. At first I though his helmet shattered, but it was his shoes >.<

I flinched when he slammed onto the ground in the slow motion part.
All I can say now is... ouch.

I'm very surprised he wasn't injured more so than he was. o_O; He's very lucky to be able to walk away from a fall like that.

... Dang.
Reminds me of that TV show on MTV, Scarred. The stuff on that show makes me cringe, but I can never seem to look away... XD

Wow, I saw that. It was crazy. I'm surprised he didn't crack his skull, or break anything. That is one lucky man.
