I think aragorn is the one who started the whole tangrowth strategy, well anyways I like rock head and double edge on aerodactyl more and you should get rid of something for a special wall, I think a milotic could blow you to shreads. I suggest blissey with stealth rock over dusknoir.

For Skarmory, I would replace Roost with Subsitute. Other than that your Skarmory's nature is very good. Here's an alternate set:

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 196 HP / 192 Def / 120 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Whirlwind
- Taunt
- Spikes

^ Just made quickly..

I also prefer Aerial Ace over Drill Peck, but that's just my opinion.

Hate to bust your chops start but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Skarmory@leftovers
Impish~252 defense/252 hp
roost/rest
spikes
whirlwind
agility/drill peck

I like agility because if you are faster then everything and got a stealth rock out then you can kill anything. Cheap but effective.

Dusknoir is great as a dual wall. Which is why I never really considered a special wall. I did have a Blissey but I didn't like it. Tangrowth seems like a good physical wall to use. I fought one with my Electivire and it withstood just about everything.

I'm definitely not putting Fire Blast on Salamence because it seems dual attackers suck a lot more than single attacker. So meh... and Lord Mike what a great help you were... "Whatever..."

ooka, that tangrowth set sucks.. the knock off set with power whip is much much better. sunny day should only be used on a grass pokemon with cholorphyll, along with hidden power fire and solarbeam. with that tangrow set it's just asking for any pokemon resistant to grass moves to come in and give it a beating. a houndoom and his buddy exeggutor would like to thank you for the sunny day boost.

and agility on skarmory is absolutely useless. once it outspeeds pokemon, pokemon are going to start hitting it with earthquake whenever it uses roost. and a steel type low on hp hit by an earthquake is as good as gone. also, agility doesn't help whirlwind go first because whirlwind always go last, just so you know. that's why agility is absolutely useless on skarmory.

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Pressure
Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 HP
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Stealth Rock
looks fine. cema uses an identicle aerodactyl i believe

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Pressure
Impish
EVs: 252 HP, 154 Sp. Defense, 104 Defense
-Ice Punch
-Will-O-Wisp
-Pain Split
-brick break
brick break is better for type coverage.

Salamence @ Leftovers
Intimidate
Adamant
EVs: 110hp, 252 Attack, 148sp.att
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Crunch/earthquake
[b]-flamethrower
mix sweeping salamence is best. it's not totally walled by skarmory and takes down tangrowth too.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Sturdy
Impish
EVs: 252 HP, 154 Defense, 104 Attack
-Drill Peck
-Roar
-Spikes
-Roost
what's to rate about a standard OU?

Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs
Adaptability
Timid
EVs: 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
-Tri Attack
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Dark Pulse/hyperbeam
looks good. keep in mind porygon Z with choice specs is the only pokemon in the game who can legitimately pull off hyperbeam. you can try this set with choice scarf on a modest porygon too.

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Leaf Guard
Bold
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 6 Sp. Attack
-Sleep Powder
-Leech Seed
-Knock off
-Power whip
Knock off and powerwhip are way better, trust me

Doesn't Whirlwind always go last?

Doesn't Whirlwind always go last?

Yeah, I thought it did too. So why bother trying to get Whirlwind when Roar does the same thing...

Lone--Wanderer
August 4th, 2007, 08:12 PM
Whirlwind and Roar always go last; I can confirm from in-game experience with Pigeotto in Leaf Green.

c_dog
August 4th, 2007, 08:37 PM
yes whirlwind always go last. ooka apparently never used a skarmory and doesn't know what he's talking about.

whirlwind is better than roar because some pokemon have sound proof so roar is useless on them.
