A shiny is a kind of pokemon that is just a diffrent color from what it shoud be and by the way not exacly next to it i mean on the square where the pokemon is, you know the rectangle that the pokemon sits on and has the health on it and the lv in the top left corner there is a pokeball (red) but for my jirachi the pokeball is blue
