Pokemon was best back in the early series, well IS best back in the early series. My favs are up to series 5...but the all time best is the indigo league :D If andyone has any proof that the series get better instead of worse then post it here. Till then I'm stikcing with series 1-5

Oh and I hope nobody think I hate the other series, cuz I don't I love em. It's just the 1st 5 series own the rest...and the 1st owns the other 4 in the 1st 5 :cool::D

To tell you the truth, I think the older episodes and more funny (Indigo League espically) and the newer episodes are more seroius. But don't get me wrong I still like the new episodes but they would be even better if they added more comedy to it like the older series.

I prefered (and still do) the Jotho series. Not only of the Pokemon, but also the region of Jotho. For the series, I liked the plot involving the legendary Pokemon. That's what I like about Jotho, it seems as the complete region was build on the legends involving Ho-Oh and Lugia and then the ones about Suicune, Raikou and Entei.

I also like the others, Indigo League and Hoenn Region, my least favourite part would be the islands. To me, it looks like a filler between Jotho and Kanto, although PKMN 2000 is my fav movie. xD

I liked the series when Ash was in Kanto and Johto the best. His voice was definitely better, and it seemed like the writers had a lot of god ideas back then.

The story actually had a plot back in Kanto. Now...it's just a cheesy repetitive mess.

the older episodes were a lot better and funnyier. The new ones have better battle, but the side stories are terribly cheesy

The older episodes were better IMO, something about them made you want to watch more, i do agree the new voice actor for ash does suck, cause it seems with his voice, he got even younger. Thats not how a story works, theres character development.

Actually, I feel Pokemon's gotten better in DP. Keep in mind I watch the raw so I'm not affected by the voice changes (thank god). We've got a good rival, loads of reoccuring characters, Brock has an entertaining Pokemon. The Pokemon have a lot of personality too, almost more than Kanto.
And the animation is nice and clear (although there are a lot of mehish animators this season)
The only thing I miss is Misty and I dont miss her too much now that I've got Shinji to occupy my mind.

The worst episodes of the series were during Johto, but all the sagas after that have been of much higher quality.

I'd say the 1st few series are a classic the kanta and johto series are both classics, otherwise i'd agree

Can people stop bashing Ash's new VA? I've been keeping up with D/P, and she has gotten so much better. I swear, I missed a couple of episode and I could have thought they replaced her because she sounded so much different. I actually like Sarah Natochenny better than Veronica Taylor who made Ash's voice a little bit too high during the very end of the Kanto series, but I digress. She actually lost the scratchy, irritating voice from when she started, and Ash actually sounds like a pre-teen boy now.

Anyway, I like the Orange Island series. It was a filler series, but it was great.

I love the old Kanto/Orange League episodes, but the Johto episodes were OK, Hoenn was ghreat, I didn't watch most of Battle Frontier, but I like D/P and IMO Sarah Natochenny sounds closer to Rica Matsumoto than Veronica Taylor ever did.

I like Diamond and pearl Series better it has ALOT of action unlike battle frontier back to advanced..I liked the ones before advanced where they're were in Johto/Kanto :D

Old ones were the best for sure. They had a better story, better plots, funnier which is what a kids show should be like, and just downright cooler. I think the battles suck on the new ones. They look better but the way they're played out sucks.

Wtf happened here? Horrible battle. A Swellow and a Corphish get their butts completely wasted by a bunch of attacks and with one attack that they manage to hit with, they knock out both of Tucker's pokemon out. A Swampert and an Arcanine. No way, no way at all. Quite possibly the worst battle in the history of pokemon.

The show did kinda seem to go downhill during Hoenn, though I only watched like the first half of Hoenn, but i've just started watching dp and i guess there okay.

the older ones are very funny and I really like them as well. i still like all of the episodes. My favorite seasons were 2, 3, 8 and 9. But you wont here me complain of any of them being bad
