Hi all!
Can anyone tell me if it's possbile to have mystery event unlocked and still be able to migrate pokémon from GBA games?
I'm asking because I have an english (european, not US) version of Sapphire and a german version of Diamond. The migration option doesn't show up in my game menu, and I wonder if it is because the mystery event one is in its place. Otherwise I guess the two language versions are just not compatible, and I can forget about all my pokés from Sapphire.... =(

Got an american ruby and an european pearl and it works perfect. Have you got the national dex? cause otherwise it's because of that. First beat the league and complete your pokedex with seeing all pokémon.

Yeah, I completed the national dex yesterday, after beating the elite4 and champion. Then went straight to palpark and... big disappointment. :( Seems like the games are language locked then, not region? Are both your games in english?

Wait, it sounds like your saying you went to pal park and talked to the guy hoping to have the migrate pokemon option right? Well on the main screen (where you choose your game, new game, ect.) There's an option: "Migrat from ___" Fill in the blank with the game you want to migrate from.

It works with games that are the same language, but seeing as your Diamond is German, it doesn't work. Pal Park is language-locked. Seeing as you have apparently met all the requirements, I don't think there really is a way of getting them off Sapphire.

@Pipluper: no, I was actually looking for the option to migrate in the game's start menu. No migration option to be seen, that's why I was wondering if it had to do with the mystery event thingy that's there..
@wakachamo/everyone else: oh well, tough luck for me then... :( Does anyone know if I can trade my english sapphire pokés over to a german language GBA game?

Nope, it has show up as option from the screen, "MIGRATE FROM GAME VERSION", if you have a friend that has a German version of any of the 3rd generation games, ask them to borrow it, then have them trade with you for ones you want into theirs and then migrate them into your diamond, thats how i did it my Japanese friend with his Japanese Firered and English Daimond problem, it took a lot of work. >_>

Ah, cool.. good to know that that would be an option then. I guess if it works for english/japanese, it should work with german/english games, too. :) Just need to find someone to help me then.
I also emailed nintendo's customer support about this, asking if there is ever going to be a software update or something to remove that language lock.. maybe if a lot of people email them who are frustrated about it..? Who knows...
