I really need to read more. :O

I have about 10 unread/unfinished novels on my bookshelf right now, and the ones that I have read I haven't read more than once. Is it a coincidence that my vocabulary is dropping as my reading frequency decreases? I think not.

So tonight, instead of browsing the internet, playing games or reading that stupid FML site, I'll start reading a book on my bookshelf; one I've never read before. It'll help my vocabulary and probably give me good ideas for any stories I might decide to write in the future. I used to be an avid writer when I was a kid, since I was also an avid reader. Since I stopped reading, I also stopped writing. I wonder why.

Okay, tonight's novel is...A Story For Summer - Eva Ibbotson. Google it if you're interested in what it's about. I'll find out once I read it. Let's see if I can finish it before Friday. If it's really interesting, I'll probably finish it by tomorrow. XD

    All the books I'd recommend have some form of risque behaviour in them. Not because I'm a pervert or anything, but because writers always find the need to put these things in books which are already masterpieces (eg. 1984). But... whatever.

    * 1984, George Orwell
    * Catch-22, Joseph Heller
    * If on a Winter's Night a Traveller, Italo Calvino
    * The Time Traveller's Wife, Audrey Niffenegger
    * Lord of the Flies, William Golding
    * The Chronicles of Narnia, C.S. Lewis
    * Frankenstein, Mary Shelley
    * Foundation Series, Isaac Asimov
    * Robot Series, Isaac Asimov

    Read anything by Terry Pratchett. That is all.

    What other books are you already planning to read?
