This is disgusting

As someone who loves to play games (I'm not referring to myself as a gamer), I was going through stuff and stumbled upon this little article.

Apparently, it's about a LAN Party for when Battlefield 3 comes out in Texas. They don't want any sort of mysogynistic behaviour there, so they essentially banned women from attending this event, to try and save them from being personally victimized by Regina George this sort of behaviour.

Honestly, I think this is disgusting, and to even think they're allowed to get away with this.

Also I didn't want to post this in Video Games, because it seemed too controversial for there.

I don't think any women would want to attend anyway :P

There are women out there who enjoy games like this Zet.

Most boys attending are not used to interacting with girls. :(

And that's a perfectly good reason to not allow women to attend an event like this?

Eh, yeah, I do hate segregation as much as the next guy; I hope they re-consider if they haven't done so already.

Although I don't know how the Battlefield fanbase behaves, I've had the most bizarre experiences when playing Call of Duty online. I would not ever attend their events (e.g. MW3 release). Yes, this event's discrimination is disgusting, but I think several immature players will attend an event like this..

For every one cool guy that appreciates a girl gaming, there's probably another eight saying "lol make me a sandwich" out there. The cool guys and the girl gamers should play at home and invite each other and mute everyone else. ;)
