There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a mod. But there's a difference in wanting and trying. I wanted to be one, but I didn't really put in any stock into trying. It wasn't a big deal. Although, to be fair, people who are actively trying to be mod are actively doing the things that help the forum like reporting, making interesting threads, bringing in activity, etc. As long as they're not being annoying about it, why not just appreciate their contributions? Even if they never get mod and always just trying to be mod, then that's a longtime contributor to the forum. :3

I think there's quite the difference between those wanting to be mods so they can help the community 'cause they love it and those wanting to be mods just for the power trip. y/n?

I don't stick around to be mod. I stick around to have some fun, shoot the breeze and otherwise enjoy myself. In my n00b years I did have a small desire for it but I was never desperate or thought I needed to be a mod. In fact I remember my exact thoughts on it then were: If the entire staff can't agree that I'm deserving of it, then I shall not accept it. I still feel that way honestly, mostly because I refuse to work alongside a group that can't trust or be trusted.
