I remember being in... 2nd grade?
My teacher was escorting the class to Music class, and I remember looking at the TV screen because my music teacher was staring at it. But I was in 2nd grade and didn't actually understand what was going on.
We all has these class team t-shirts on with our names and a special design on them and we all thought it was the coolest shirt ever.
Then we all sat in a circle, and my classmates were wondering why we weren't playing any instruments or practicing singing or anything.
Then people slowly started getting called out of class to go home. I remember everyone being excited because going home early was the most exciting thing in the world. The whole class was screaming and having fun with it.
I finally got called out, and I stood up and did a little dance or something because yesss I knew it was going to happen and it happened.
So I went home.
And the last thing I remember is being upset because all of the channels on TV were news. I was upset because I couldn't watch Pokemon. I was actually really upset. I was mad. I complained to my mom and she said it should be back to normal tomorrow.
No one actually explained to me what happened until a few weeks after. I felt bad because I was being selfish. I had no idea what they were talking about on the news.
And now, 10 years later, I'm in the process of joining the Navy to help serve my country.
