Okay, so you guys know how in my last blog I posted about Danny Vozzo (the comic book colorist of Sandman and Jack of Fables) who's in my Western Civ class?
Well, I thought you would all find this pretty awesome.
We got to chatting again after class on day and I tell him that I'm stupid into Pokemon. He goes on to tell me a story about how he worked next to a woman who had a bunch of Pokemon action figures, cards, etc on her desk. Danny asked her why she has all that Pokemon stuff and the lady said, "oh, I actually play the voice of Meowth on the show!"
Now, for those of you who may not know this, the person who played the voice of Meowth is Maddie Blaustein (formerly Adam Blaustein-- she was transgendered) and played the voice of Meowth from episode 29 to season 8. Unfortunately, she died in 2008.
But I actually had a really great conversation with someone who had real and authentic ties to the world of Pokemon. It's so sad that she's dead now, but I consider myself very lucky to even know someone who can utter the phrase, "I worked with the woman who played the voice of Meowth on Pokemon".
Just thought (this being a forum centered around Pokemon) that you guys would find this little bit of information neat. Now you can say you know someone who knows someone who knows Meowth!
