I know I'm not supposed to listen to a bunch of loonies on the Internet for advice on very important matters such as sleeping, but I need to ask you guys for help.
I've been recently sleeping about 70% of the day (around 12-13 hours a day) without any control over it (and believe me, it's a pain) and it's ruining everything in life right now, and accounts for the mood I've been in.
Do any of you have any tips? I need all the help I can, even from random strangers (not really but whatever).
So I read this thing called the Uberman's Sleep Schedule and it seems pretty cool, just not for under-18s apparently. I want to try it though. yummmmmm

I've been having the exact same problem. I sleep more than I should, and it's really becoming a health concern. I don't have health insurance, so I can't go to the doctors because they're too expensive to see if I pay it out of pocket. I went to CVS to get some pills that'll help with my energy, but I don't think it'll work.Posted December 3rd, 2012 at 04:01 AM by Patchisou Yutohru

Don't know about narcolepsy but fairly unlikely. What's stopping me from getting up is the fact that I'm sorta passed out. I once was "awake" but not conscious for about 40 minutes.Quote:
I haven't met this problem until I started exercising, so it can't be that. I try to have a sleeping schedule, but so far it's been hard.
And I've had about 50 blood tests, they all came out normal.Posted December 3rd, 2012 at 11:43 PM by droomph

Hmm.. do you know of any sleep clinics near you? I know they may be a bit expensive but if it's a big problem it could be worth it.
back like.. 7 or so years ago, I got diagnosed with depression and got on Paxil. It made me super tired and when I would wake up I'd basically feel like I'm paralyzed. I got off of it.. because it wasn't helping and saw a therapist instead which got me out of it, but anyways, maybe it has to do with serotonin? Are you getting enough vitamins? Vitamin Bs, A, and D may help with it, I hear.
Maybe hypnosis therapy may help you? Though for hypnosis to work you need to not think it's BS apparently.
Dunno what else to recommend.. sorry Droomph!Posted December 4th, 2012 at 12:07 AM by Kura
