I'm not one to really care about politics, but I was just watching the news and it really infuriates me how politicians find the need to cut spending on some of the most important aspects of our infastructure (like Health care and Education) so much. $107 million cut from hospitals and employee wages...wow, and where will we see that money reinvested? NOWHERE. Is any development and growth made? NO, OF COURSE NOT. If cuts are being made, the money needs to be reinvested somewhere. And not for funding their overseas trips and holidays, NO, something worthwhile and beneficial, LIKE PERHAPS INCREASING TEACHER WAGES, INVESTING IN MORE HOSPITAL, HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES.
Guise, I have decided. Screw being a doctor, I'm becoming a politician! You get to lie, ***** and bicker, earn an enormous income and don't have to lift a finger. Well...except when you're handing in your travel ticket to the flight attendant before you board your plane to Hawaii, Paris, Fiji...

I don't agree with what they cut, but to be fair, we spend way too much and are always looking for things to cut/streamline/whatever so it makes sense that things would be cut without being reinvested; the whole point of cutting things is to reduce spending, not shuffle it around.Posted January 23rd, 2013 at 02:29 AM by Toujours

However, they're making cuts to reduce spending in certain areas to 'supposedly' aid others. The problem is, we're seeing these cuts happen, but no worthwhile reinvestment (even though not immediate) is being made. Making cuts is essentially about reducing spending, but it's also about prioritising what areas need financial support and which don't.
