So this happened around last week,

Posted February 17th, 2013 at 08:46 AM by Miss Doronjo

Which I've told this story in the Battle Server, but, I might as well blog it here.

So, it was about... 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday the 13th, where I was you know, on the computer, but then, I heard some shouting from the room nearby. I thought it was just one of my step brother's squabbles on the League of Legends so I ignored it. Then there was shouting from my Step-Brother again about 5 minutes later, where this time, I heard my step-dad (or my step-brother's dad) shouting as well. That's... when I heard it; my step-brother suddenly exploded on his dad; cussing him out, saying that he's a terrible father, saying that he's a low-life, etc. My step dad chuckled at him and told him that he is a loser, and that he needs to leave first thing in the morning, and then went back to his room. But that' when things started... to get a little crazy.

My step-brother started banging on his door where my mother was also at, yelling, "TELL ME THAT I'M A LOSER!" while my mother and I was just, standing there going "what the hell?" He even punched the door so hard that it cracked in the middle. So, my step-brother forced his way inside the room to where his dad was, and, I decided to come in too, just to see what was going on, and, you know what -- they were standing there, shouting, cussing each other out and calling them names, and they were, like, so close to actually fist fighting. So my mother and I spent 15 minutes trying to break them apart, until my step-brother went out, with his last words being, "you know what Dad? You are actually so pathetic that you're not even worth fighting with." That... was when his dad got a small glass and almost threatened to smash him with it, but fortunately, my mother prevented him.

So, it's not like, 11:10, and my mother and I decided to grab each of them a glass of water too cool down. When we got back up, his dad started to cry. He said that he raised him from when he was a baby, and this is the treatment that he was supposed to get? Something around that.

Well, my step-brother is out of the house now, and you know -- I have no idea what made him snap on his dad like that. It was like, did he have pent up rage against your dad or something? Because as far as I can tell, he snapped and disrespected his dad for no reason at all; all his dad told him to do that night was to quiet down, because people were trying to sleep. I have no idea why he was so angry. In fact, I've never really encountered something like this before -- because while I do have my upsets against my mother and father sometimes, I dunno, I don't really blow up like that?

But that's just speaking from my experience - have any of you been so upset at your parents to just.. . blow up like that?

I am so sorry to hear this and I hope things get straightened out with your family because this is really sad, but to answer your question I have gotten mad at my parents several times often resulting in yelling and slamming doors, but I would never curse at my parents or even come close to hitting them. 1. I hate violence and 2. I respect my parents too much to do that. While I may say words in my head that I would like to blurt out at them, I never have. I can't speak for what happened in your situation, but from what I can tell is that your brother is the one who was wrong here. Even if he had a legitimate reason to be mad he had no reason to do what he did.

My step-brother isn't exactly an angry person though. Maybe his dad did something to deserve it? Because normally 22 year olds don't hate their parents for no reason. Don't get me wrong -- I'm not defending him for what he did, its just, maybe there was something more there.

Dear God no, I would never do that to my parents. :| I just...don't believe in that kind of thing, really. Hate to sound like a Bible thumper, but it does say to honor your parents, and that's something I think people should adhere to. I've been mad at my parents, sure, but never enough to yell at them and possibly get into a physical altercation. Seems strange to me. :(

Oh I agree that his dad probably did something to deserve it or either it was built up tension over time that finally came out. I was just saying that I don't think that he should have cursed his dad. But yeah I don't believe it was for no reason at all.

Hopefully your brother has just overreacted or something. I know that I don't know the full story, but to be angry at your parent that much I find really sad so I hope everything sorts itself out :c

That's awful. :/ I honestly do agree with Syd that you should honor your parents and going this far is just.. ugh, makes me uncomfortable to think about. I feel very bad for the father for having to experience this and I really hope everything gets sorted. Really, really do.

Could he be depressed, stressed or suffering something that none of you know about (addiction, harrassment, trauma)? If it was uncalled for and out of character for him to act that way that's the first thing I would think of.
