So a lot of pregnant women and people with young kids come to IKEA. And it's often the case where if they have a baby- like, you know, under 18 months or so- I'll end up making faces at it. Babies like me and I like them. Even though I don't want one to keep. Anyway, sometimes the mom will catch me doing that and she'll say something like "aw, he likes you! He's such a little flirt!" and I am immediately absolutely disgusted because a) the baby does not think like that b) she is implying that the BABY is flirting with me and c) who even says that wth.

I saw a friend from high school at the bus stop today. I was reading on my phone and then turned around to check the schedules again and almost ran into her and kind of smiled apologetically and then half-turned away and then did a double-take at the same time she did and we both went "Oh HEY!" So we chatted for a while and she works at the mall apparently and somehow I never ran into her on the bus even though I ran into this other dude like 20 times idk. She's such a sweetie omg and she's matured and she's a lot less harsher-spoken than she used to be and aw. <3 I may have had a slight crush on her a few years ago shhh.

I've gotten way into Roosterteeth stuff. Mainly Achievement Hunter because wow they're really endearing. <3 Especially Team Nice Dynamite. <333 It's also their fault I've become addicted to Minecraft.

When fans roleplay as actual people rather than character it makes me uncomfortable.

I've gotten used to real-person shipping and real-person fanfiction. Still the kind of thing that I think should be kept on the down-low and not talked about a whole lot. But I've gotten used to it. But real-person death!fics will never not make me feel physically sick.

I've never read an established relationship RPF that managed to keep the subjects near true to their personalities. It's really very sad. The author can write the best get-together scene in the world but then it all goes flying off the cliff when they continue on. Throws me right off when the subjects start calling each other pet names they would never ever actually say in seriousness. I no longer trust these types of fics.

I'm really good at separating fic from life. Never will I confuse the two, because if I read RPF then the characters in the fic become just that- characters. Characters based off of people, yeah, but their actions belong to the fictional universe. I will never think a person did or said something because they did or said it in a fic. Some fans don't seem to have this ability. It's kind of scary.
Fic from canon is just a touch more blurry. If a fic author is really good and/or writes in a style that reflects the original, I sometimes get confused on details. I have to remember that no, this character doesn't despise a certain food and this one doesn't favour this colour and that tertiary character's sibling isn't canon.

It makes me very sad when a really promising fic premise is written by someone with no sense of formatting. I can skim over pretty appalling grammar without being too fazed, but I can not deal with giant blocks of text and an inability to use quotation marks. I've skimmed stories that I would have loved to read, but just can not because of the formatting.

Yeah. Imma go back to watching Achievement Hunter.

    Real people fiction always seemed...off putting to me, I guess. Nothing wrong with it, just definitely not my cup of tea. :\

    And yeah same with me and formatting .. though I usually am pretty harsh and I wont read on if the first few paragraph doesn't capture my attention.

    I used to feel that way but I gradually got used to it because when you track certain tags to do with shows where people don't play characters- Top Gear, panel shows, w/e- then you come across it pretty often. I was put off by what's usually in the tumblr tags but then I was linked to some decent stuff on LJ and now I don't feel too weird about it anymore.

    Probably a good thing xD; It's a very strange thing. AND YEAH ROOSTERTEETH I only got into them like two? three? weeks ago and wow do I have some catching up to do and I really like them and wow.

    If a fic has a good summary/premise but doesn't capture me early on I kind of cheat and just skim to where the author gets things going ^^;
