PC's Got Talent! But no judges!

Well, one judge (me), and possibly someone else, although I need to get a confirmation from her.

Anyway, in the near future, PC's Got Talent will actually be a thing on here, but we need judges. Two of them, actually. And after thinking about it for a while, I decided, hell, why not hold an application for of sorts.

I'll be 100% honest, right now, and put this disclaimer: I'm more likely to pick you as a judge if I know you relatively well. Not necessarily personally, but in term of activity on the forum and general presence. Just saying! Also, if you guys have talent of some sort, please don't consider this offer, I'd rather you join the actual competition. It'll be better off that way.

ANYWAY, here's how it goes. Simply answer the following questions and PM me the answers (and have the title of the PM be PGT Judge). Remember that judges are meant to be able to make decisions without bias, and imo they should be able to criticize fairly, pointing out flaws and things people can make improvements on (for future PGT!s or even the next round)

  • Why do you think you qualify to be a judge?
  • What time are you on PC most often in your timezone, and please state which timezone
  • Do you have any past experience in either judging, criticizing, or reviewing? Stuff like book reviews and movie reviews and whatnot count. If so, link them please!
  • Lastly, what do you think qualifies something to be a "talent". Don't stress out over this one, simply say what you think.

Any questions relating to the judge application can be either PMed or asked in this blog. Thanks guys! Jsyk, by the way, I'm most likely going to pick one girl and one guy. So yeah, let me get those notifs!

It actually wasn't my idea. It was a members, but the whole story will be explained in the near future. =P

Sports should totally be a talent.

...or video games, since you can't play sports on the internet.

Dwai!

And, well, we'll be allowing video submissions provided they can fit into a few rules. If you feel your talent can be recorded, then, well, you can record yourself.

Not sure how video games would exactly work, though. A "Let's Play" video won't quite cut it. :C

What if we recorded ourselves playing it? Or did running commentary? Or did it over skype?

Recording yourselves playing it would probably be the best way to do it, tbqh.
It'd be fun figuring out how that'd work ahaha

you can have a webcam recording you, then take that footage and make it a screen-in-screen with whatever you've recorded. i think that's how people do it on youtube iirc
