Every revolution begins with a spark

After so long, it's finally here, CATCHING FIRE. For those who aren't Hunger Games fans, Catching Fire is the sequel to the first movie: The Hunger Games and is the second of the 'Hunger Games' trilogy. Out of all the movies, this is the one I've been looking forward to the most, considering that I particularly enjoyed the second book. It's got twists, turns, a myraid of new and interesting chraracters, and it reveals a lot more of the true nature of the Capitol.

Tonight I'll be watching it with a few mates and I cannot wait! I'm particularly interested in the events that happen within the arena as well as seeing Effie Trinket, because after all she is arguarbly one of the best characters of the trilogy. Her sophistication, her attitude, everything about her (or should I say the actor) makes me want to read the books and watch the first movie all over again.

With the release of the film, comes also the end of my exams which means no more school and no more year 11! Woot! I've got orientation next thursday and friday but that's a minor annoyance, haha.

OH and also, I received some fantastic news yesterday. The varisty jumpers that us year 11s wanted to be our year 12 jumpers next year got approved! It's the first time in history that my school has decided to change the year 12 jumpers. Despite all odds, despite all the negative opinions put forth by my teachers saying that my efforts to propose a change would fail, I succeeded. And damn does it feel good haha. Despite putting in a proposal and collecting a petition, I myself was a bit sceptical on whether or not we has a chance, but in the end it looks like we did. I cannot say how proud I am of myself and how happy I am to have gotten these jumpers approved. It just goes to show that students do have a voice to spark change.

I suppose what they say is true after all, every revolution begins with a spark.
