Platinum Chronicles ~ Canalave to Snowpoint

Okay, I want to start making blogs again, so Imma start with a Platinum Log, as it's holidays and nothing interesting is happening :D.

Beginning - Load from save in Canalave Gym

I entered the battle with Byron expecting it to be a tough battle, so I had my Magmortar sitting in the wings to roast his Steel Pokemon.

I began with Empoleon, expecting to fight something like Steelix. So what does he send out first? Magneton. Great.

Probably the only steel besides Lucario that I should have to worry about, and to make it worse, Magnet Pull prevents my escape. So I sit in to launch a Surf, which happens to OHKO.

Steelix is OHKO'd by another Surf. No surprises there.

Then: Bastiodon. Yay, it's weak to Water. A Surf should kill it. OHKO What? it hung on with a fraction of health. It gets recovery from a Sitrus berry but still has nearly no health, so I go in for the kill with Aqua Jet. (Don't ask) Annoyingly, the Bastiodon receives a much-needed hyper potion, bringing it back to full health, so Aqua Jet does pitiful damage. As a result, I just finished it off with a decisive Surf.

So much for a Gym Leader.

So I followed the story line to the Library and found out I have to go to Lake Valor. So I went there and smashied Commander Saturn, and then Commander SomethingelseIforget at Lake [what's the bottom one near the home town? lol]. The storyline tells me Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit have been taken to the HQ, so I went there, only to find I can't get in, and I'm meant to go to Lake Acuity (that's an awesome word. :D) ...so I go wandering. I happen to find an invisible Razor Claw (I swear it's not imaginary. )

That means I can evolve Gligar :D About time... So I let Gligar Lv up, holding the item at night (Any more criteria you want to add, Game Freak?). Then I make my way to the top of the Shinou Region, ticking off several pokedex entries.

After discovering that I can't get into the lake until I beat the gym leader, I proceed on to the City where I saved and took a break to write this log.

End - Saved in Snowpoint City, before fighting the Leader.

Next Time: Archer takes on the Snowpoint Gym in an epic battle of the titans. ntrly. :D
