Pokémon Sienna - Max Biography

Who is Max?
Max. Eccentric. Rich. Mean. Cocky. Manipulative. Stuck-up. These words all describe one of Sienna's two rivals to a tee. Max is a young child whose birth location is unknown; it's speculated that he's from either Ganges City, Nile City or Orinoco City as he's seen to have some type of residence in those places.
He's encountered many times throughout Pokémon Sienna. You first meet him in Nile City where he attempts to stop you from entering the Devon Corporation building and to 'destroy' you in battle, this is an attempt to assert his dominance.
The next time you encounter Max, however, he's seemingly kind and helpful. He starts off by belittling you before claiming he has a gift for you if you can defeat Ganges City's gym leader, Nancy. This gift is a Pokémon egg; now, Max just thinks that this egg is a leftover and is a useless Pokémon, however if used right it can be a behemoth in its own right. Max has his own Pokémon that came from an egg too, he believes his is stronger, it's up to you to prove it isn't.
Max is encountered for a third time before you challenge Voultan's third gym, which resides in your home town of Atlantic City. But here he seems different and actually asks for your help. He's battled the third gym, and beaten it, but his Pokémon are too weak to travel back to Nile City for healing; so, he asks you to go there and collect some supplies from his friend for him. Once you've returned the package to Max he'll reveal his previous attitudes and will give you a reward in the form of a Pokémon battle. Here you can see what his egg Pokémon actually was (Drifloon) and is a very different team to before. Beat him and he'll leave to train his Pokémon.
The next time you encounter Max is in the depths of Vrai Cave, this is just before the end of the cave and leaves you in a precarious position because of his extremely tough line-up. He claims that if he beats you then you must hand over all your Pokémon to him; but if you beat him then he'll give you a reward. Unlike last time, however, the reward is good and results in you being given the very handy reward of five Rare Candies, this is a very useful addition to your arsenal indeed.
Much like the second time you meet Max he doesn't actually battle you in Orinoco City. He explains how he's residing in his home and didn't expect you to be here, this is the first mention of the fact he's extremely rich and even acts in a very kind matter by allowing to pick as many evolution stones as you want. He does this because of very good hunting skills and because of an order of his being misprinted and he was sent too many stones.
There is one more event in Beta 3 in which you encounter Max; however, this event has yet to be showcased or revealed so I won't list it here. I may edit this biography upon showcase of Max's unshowcased event because these biographies will be somewhat of an archive and explanation for myself and anybody who fancies a read of Sienna's backstory/previous events.

This is great! I'm looking forward to beta 3. Max sounds like a very kind and friendly person... yeah right. But maybe he'll give you some good experience points in battle? ;o
