Dog Story #2

I had intended to post this with the first Dog Story, but I got lazy.
The other day I woke up quite late for school, so I hurried to shower and get ready and everything. I ended up leaving the house at 8 am or so, which was a half hour after school started. I had to walk, which was okay, but as I went past the elementary school about four blocks from my house, a dog started following me.
It was a yellow lab she-puppy, and very nice and cute. She seemed trained, since she followed at my heel and came to me when I called her over. I petted her and looked around for an owner, but I didn't see anyone. I told the dog to go home and started on my way to school again. But the puppy continued to follow me for three blocks.
I didn't want to cross the extremely busy street while the dog was following me because it probably would come with, so I turned back and headed toward the school, where it had started following me. I checked the dog's collar, but there was no ID or tags. I told it to go home again but it just sat there looking at me happily. So I wandered around the neighborhood for awhile, asking anyone around if they knew whos dog I had found. The dog followed me around the whole time. Eventually I found an old couple that said they would take her and find out who she belonged to.
I managed to get to school at 9:30.
