This blog mostly contains my latest escapades in the Pokémon fandom. Be it related to the games, the anime, my collection, or PC itself, this blog should have it. I assume this will mostly be filled with collection updates, since that's my main interest in the fandom, but we shall see. Thanks for reading!
If you're interested in my gaming habits outside of Pokémon, you might be interested in my Gamespot blog, perhaps. If you want my day-to-day ramblings, check out my Livejournal. The latter may have questionable content or not-quite-PG ratings, so use discretion. :P

Real life sucks! (But at least I get paid.)

Tired Lightning is tired!
I started my new job today. I work at a microbrewery doing billing. My dad's the plant manager there, so I got the job with no problem at all, but as a result I have to get a ride to and from work with him, meaning I clock in at 7 AM and I go home whenever he's done. Today it was at 4:30 PM but I know sometimes he stays until 5 or 6 PM. Eep.
Anyway, aside from being dreadfully overtired and high on painkillers (a whole other story!), the day wasn't too bad. I probably didn't retain much due to the drugs but hopefully the notes I took aren't illegible. XD I basically look over invoices, make sure any deposit refunds are added in the computer, and balance accounts when payments come in. Probably more but damn if I can think of it right now. It's really not so bad, and chances are I can clock out early and just surf the net or something if my dad stays late and I'm finished.
I worked 9.25 hours today (whoa, and I think I came home early! @_@) and I get a half hour for lunch everyday. The good thing about that is I can do whatever I want on lunch break, meaning I can surf the net and nothing seems to be blocked. :P
Anyway, that's about it. If my activity at PC drops in the next while, now you know why. XD;

Yeah, long days suck but... at least for the first half of the day I won't run out of things to do. At my last job I'd go for like hours sometimes without calls or anything to occupy myself with (because my manager would't let me sit there and draw when the place was dead XD) so I prefer this overall. Plus... from what I can tell so far? CASUAL DRESS. ♥Posted September 5th, 2008 at 04:57 PM by Lightning
