Okay, okay, okay.
Lemme take a deep breath.
Okay.
This is like, super exciting news (for me, anyway).
So like, I was sitting in Western Civ, minding my own business. And yadda yadda class happens.
So then, when I'm leaving, I overhear some guys talking about Comic Con. For those of you who don't know, I'm going to NY Comic Con this year (so excited!)
Long story LONGER - we get to talking about comic books. And I'm all like, "well, I'm reading Avengers vs X-Men and The Walking Dead and Chew and Batman new 52 and etcetcetc (my pull list is $80 this week guys @_@) but a personal favorite of mine is Fables."
WEEELLLLLL, as if it was nothing, this guy, as casually as you can say it, says "Oh Fables? I colored Jack of Fables (a spinoff series). But I'm most famous for the coloring I did on The Sandman."
I was like o_OOOOOOOOOOOMG
This dude, no different than any other student, is DANNY VOZZO! Easily one of the most talented people in the comic book industry today! In MY freaking Western Civ class!
I found a true big player in the comic book world!! I hope through this semester I can really get to know Danny. I'm so lucky, I have an opportunity to actually get a dream job of mine. Hardly anyone gets that chance! I'm not expecting him to hand over his position to me or anything, but I'm going to (pretty shamelessly) advertize myself as an artist.
And who knows? You could be commenting on the blog of the next famous comic book artist! :]

@Scarf : Thanks! Funny how small the world truly is, isn't it?
@Drakow : That's precisely the plan. Even if I can't make any solid connections, I'm sure he can teach me some tricks of the trade! Plus, Danny's going to Comic Con, so I'll at least get an awesome insider's tour of the place.
