Lazy descriptions are still all the rage, right?
Whelp, this is my first blog entry in the history of the internet so let's see how this works out. I doubt there will be a huge amount of activity here since I rarely post things without purpose and broadcasting things to a wide group of people just isn't my style so lol.
I'm here to regale you with a grand tale of tragedy and woe, the heights of which the great literary giants of the past would be unable to fathom. The emotions contained within my carefully chosen words are so real and potent that I'm afraid it will be far to much for some people to handle - Barry White is the only person who can stir passions as strong as this. Please consult a doctor before reading on.
I've been swamped with work and personal things for the last 2-3 weeks which absolutely sucks. So much to do, so little time and all that jazz. There's barely been any time for fun and my active time on PC has taken a hit. Anyway, getting to the point, I've got a big assignment due tomorrow followed by some breathing space to relax again. For some reason my parents were extremely pushy for me to finish this assignment early. "How's that work going?", "You better finish up on Thursday", "If you're a second late then we're disowning you". Well, maybe that last quote is stretching it a bit but that's honestly what it felt like - They were really hammering it in. FINISH. THAT. ASSIGNMENT. EARLY. MISTER. An hour ago I was silently swearing them out, but now...
The instant I reached the word limit I walked right up to them, ready to gloat after two weeks of psychological torture - Show them I could play their little game and come out on top. Once I declared victory my dad silently motioned for me to follow him into the office. He opened up his briefcase and pulled out a small slip of paper. Obviously I was surprised, what was on this? As it turns out it was a ticket to the Friday showing of the EB Games Expo... Something which I had written off weeks ago because of work, but now was free to go to. Needless to say, I was pretty excited about it and can see why they were pushing me so hard to finish early. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
So yup, I'm going to my first ever expo of any type tomorrow and will hopefully get to sample some of the games coming out in the coming of months. 12 hours of mind-numbing lights, sounds and spine-melting fatalities. They're showcasing the Wii U for the first time in Australia so that's something I really want to try out fo' shizzle mah dizzles (Plus they've brought Charles freakin' Martinet along for the ride). The waiting lines will be horrible, but I need hold fast to my delusion that since its a Friday there will be less people killing my precious play time. Screw uni classes, fun has won out.
Now for the killer questions: Is anybody else in the Sydney area going tomorrow/ over the weekend? Are there any games that people are interested in (here's a big ol' list) that I should take a few pictures of? How ultra jelly are you?
tl;dr, despite my opening I'm probably going to post another blog tomorrow with photos. Also, lots of incoherent rambling. Come at me.
