Scene Twenty-Four, Take Fifteen

Lights, camera, action.
The past few weeks have been chaos. See, we have a project for our computer class that involves two things -- making a movie and stress. Unfortunately, I got picked as the director and editor.
The movie's a bit too cliche for my taste, but we couldn't do much about it since it's supposed to be for the general audience. It's a short film consisting of ten to twenty minutes, and the story starts with an infamous bully and a transferee student. I know, it's common. The bully meets the transferee, and the bully starts to change under the transferee's influence. I bet you anything you know what happens next.
Originally, it was only going to be a boy-meets-girl kind of thing, but then I wanted a touch of humor. I even added a scene where a group of popular girls walk in slow motion, to the beat of Eye of the Tiger, just to spice things up. I have to admit, though, it made a huge difference.
The first few days of shooting were pretty decent; everyone was paying attention to me, and there weren't much bloopers. The next days, however -- well, you get the idea.
I know I shouldn't be taking the whole movie thing seriously. It's just a competition between the sixth grade sections, and honestly, we have a big chance of winning. The reason why I'm so stressed about it is because if we win -- emphasis on if -- a producer from a local television channel will come to the movie screening, and you win a chance to be famous, whether it be in the field of acting, or the art of directing.
Excuse me if I'm going to be cranky for the rest of the week.

Awesome! Man, I wish I had this kind of project when I was in school. Is there romance in this movie? I'm envisioning A Walk to Remember sort of thing where the bully falls in love with the victim of bullying. Or maybe they can pull off a business collaboration a la Charlie Bartlett. :o But it sounds like you've got your story together pretty much so you don't have to listen to me, lol. Good luck with everything!
Hey, I think you should post the movie on your blog when you finish >u>Posted January 21st, 2013 at 02:40 PM by outfox

It's sort of like a romance-comedy kind of thing, but it's not literally romance. The bully has a girlfriend who he doesn't even like, and the bully doesn't fall for the transferee, sadly. Teachers said we might influence the first graders lol And I'm not planning on posting the movie, as it's in my native language, Filipino. Have fun translating, haha!Quote:Awesome!
