I wanted to put this entry on the spotlight of one of our most spirited users of this forum.
You may know her as Forever (along with her past names such as Nurse Nica, Hakeen and Requility) but most people know her better by her real name, Danica. She's often called Nica for short.
This girl turned 7 in PC years last November, and she's made every little step to get PC to where it is today and so I'm listing 10 reasons why Nica changed PC.
1. She's the mod of Black and White, one of my fave sections on PC.
You know, the Black and White section is one of my most-visited places here, and she helps make it fun by encouraging people to put good thoughts into their posts. She has been modding the place for almost 3 years now (her modding anniversary is this August) and she has totally recognized how attached I am to B/W even when PC was in the middle of the hype for B2/W2. I contributed regularly to the Travel Journal, Quick Questions, Weekly Polls and the Ongoing Discussion threads that were implemented last year in a bid to encourage activity.
2. She makes awesome profiles.
Not just for herself, but for other staff and supporters too. She even plans to make me an Oshawott profile but she never got around to it lol. Also, the pictures and styles she uses are so fun to look at. Given the results of the last PPC, it shows she can still nail non-supporter profiles too.
3. I would not have become a Supporter if she wasn't here.
Yes, she was the main reason I eventually got that sleek, italicized name. The very quiz relating to PC's History over 10 years, which was part of the PCX Get-Together last year. Even though I got the Supporter upgrade thanks to Toujours giving her prize to me, it was Nica that helped this dream come true.
4. She's totally obsessed with postcount.
She has the most insane postcount of anyone on PC, topping over 31,000. You can tell how obsessed she is, cos she loves to post almost everywhere.
5. She's really funny.
Almost as funny as me, but we all love her awesome attitude and passion for PC in general.
6. I finally joined the Showdown server thanks to her.
Yeah, she finally encouraged me to get involved with the Pokemon Showdown server and wants me to eventually become an awesome competitive battler, not to mention the chat function can get a little funny.
7. She's so similar to me.
20yo females? Check. Both brown hair? Check. Australian? check. Black & White spirited? Check. Tier 5 Supporters? Check. Both using advanced profiles? Check. Yeah, she's basically almost like me in every way.
8. She loves going crazy.
On Twitter, the Showdown server and even in VMs and PMs. She is totally talkative and we all love her for that.
9. She's helpful to everyone.
Trust me, the advice she gave me is very helpful indeed. It allowed me to make more constructive posts in Black and White, not to mention she's helpful to everyone in general.
10. PC would not be awesome without her.
She is what got the forum to its current state, and she loves hosting events and making loads of great threads for everyone to glomp at.
