This happened to my uncle's friend.
He was in Sydney one afternoon and he needed to hail a bus. As you do, he stuck his arm out to get one's attention. A bus approached. The bus kept going, hit and badly broke his arm.

Wow, that's awful. Did anyone get the number plate of the bus to contact the company about the driver? I mean, the friend was almost definitely either at the wrong bus stop or the bus was full, but that's really no excuse for... idek the word for it. It's just bad.

Well, on one hand, he shouldn't have stuck out his arm…
And on the other, the bus driver should have slowed down or something…

And things like this are why buses will only stop in marked bus stop areas where I live. No sign, no stop! Hailing is considered too unsafe for that to be practiced here today.Posted February 18th, 2013 at 11:37 PM by donavannj
