Aaron's useless ramblings
Don't really expect much here. I'm not as active on this site as I was so I'm not gonna post blog entries as often,.
I love the library.
I really do. When I was younger, like I'd say 5th grade to sophomore of high school, I'd go to the library practically everyday. I'd walked the mile and 20 minutes it take to get there , check out a few books (mostly manga), CDs, and DVDs, get on the computer, browse the internet for an hour or 2 depending on how much time I could book, and then head back home after that.Usally by the time I'd start walking back home the sun was going down or it was already dark, and my dad already made dinner or was almost done cooking it by the time I arrived home. So I'd just grab my plate of food and eat with everyone in the main tv room. I'd do this basically everyday or at least once a week. A good 75 % of the music in my iTunes library comes from CDs I borrow from the nearby library and importer to the computer. And a majority of the books I've read were also ones I've borrowed from said library.My main reason for going so much was because we had no working computer at the time , the one we had before the current one, had trouble with viruses. Plus there was many times my dad couldn't pay the internet/phone bill so the shut us down many times. And the Mac we had before that's motherboard fired. So whenever I went it was mainly for the Internet.
Anyway, I ramble too much. I don't go there as much as I used to, but I still go at least every 2-3 weeks. I go so often that my card has $47.08 in fines and so I can't use it anymore cause there's a rule that if you have $15 in fines , you're blocked from using your card. Plus it expired on my 18th birthday two years ago. I really need to pay the fine and renew it or see if I can just get a new card, Anyway in order to borrow stuff, my dad lets me use his card. Today we went to the library so he could renew a book he's reading and so he let me check out some CDs.I got some interesting variety;
If you can't read the titles:
This Is Happening by LCD Soundsystem
True Defiance by Demon Hunter
Loyalty to Loyalty by Cold War Kids
Give Up by The Postal Service
Congratulations by MGMT
The Con by Tegan and Sara
Handwritten by Gaslight Anthem
Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay
I have no idea what to listen to first. It goes from dance punk to metal to indie rock to electric pop to psychedelic rock to indie rock again to rock/punk to piano-rock/post Britpop/alternative (whatever Coldplay is) . Just goes to show how versatile and various my music taste is.
TL;DR I just love the library a lot, went today and wanted to show off the CDs I got.
Also this is my 10th blog. Yay.
