HI GUYS.
Hikari, I wouldn't have put them on the list if I couldn't obtain them within the game. That's kind of silly, don't you think? That said I have Keldeo in my box because I had to trade it over earlier and you can obtain Shellos by an in-game trade. Sadly, the latter does take a while but i do have the time.Quote:
THAT SAID.
Keldeo, Jellicent, and Poliwrath I will use. As for Gastrodon, Simipour, and Lapras it will be whoever I happen to get first since (as mentioned) the former is a in-game trade that you have to do a lot for and the latter two are kind of difficult to find in the wild. Thanks guys!
Also Iris' Hydreigon can say hello to Ice Beam. 3: Water will actually not be that bad because of Ice Moves. Some of the other Monotype challenges on the other hand ....
Edit: OH WAIT I DIDN'T SEE STARMIE. hm ... If I can find a second Water Stone I'll switch Vaporeon out with Starmie. That or just put it in the last slot if I find a Water Stone but haven't captured/gotten any of the other three yet. Again, thanks guys!Posted October 28th, 2012 at 07:17 PM by BinaryPeaches

HI GUYS.
Iris' Hydreigon says hello =b
No but seriously, while I don't know how easy it is to acquire, Lapras is fantaaastic. If that's a no-go, I say Poliwrath 3:Posted October 28th, 2012 at 02:47 PM by Stand Alone

HI GUYS.
I noticed your Vaporeon was named after a Fairy Tail character.
Another Water I can suggest might be Simipour. You can catch Panpour in the Lostlorn Forest (shaking grass) and they have Scald right from the get-go, it also has a good movepool which makes it a fun choice for your mono-Water team.
Not to mention I love monkeys too, given my Chinese Zodiac sign is the Monkey.Posted October 28th, 2012 at 07:20 AM by Hikari10

Aaaaahhhh Geez, you're making me feel bad now. I apologize for my rudeness. I took a quick look and I liked the one with a close up of Red's face, it's two after the one with Red in a team rocket outfit.Posted August 8th, 2012 at 08:55 AM by Drakow

Haha, it's alright. I didn't mind. Was just giving clarification - in case you thought I'm some moron with zero comprehension skills. :P

I read your post, Tara. It ain't like I have comprehension problems either. Hence the first sentence of my previous post. All I was trying to convey was that you could only get so much of user feedback on a blog post. I understand how you'd want everything to be as organized as possible before you post a thread. But dont you think you have a good draft now? I mean, there are basically only two questions which are up to debate: what should be the time span between the two PPCs and would themes be a good idea. You and netto have already approved the whole previous winners may enter rule but that can be up to debate as well. All I was saying was you have a good draft, a few questions and require user feedback and a thread was the best way to go, imo. But what may seem sufficient to warrant a thread might not for you and I understand that. Therefore, I stated that it was just what I felt should be done; not that what you should necessarily do. If you get what I mean.
I probably won't be able to be any more elaborate. English is my second language, after all. :P hope you understand. Even if you don't, we can agree to disagree and leave it at that. Cheers!Posted June 26th, 2012 at 01:20 AM by Derozio

Again, I said I would move from blog to thread if needbe. This is just initial stuff. and I think I want to actually put down some ideas before making an actual thread so it's a bit more organized. ilu but really.
I'm not sure if we can make an announcement and allow people to post to it, but we can make a thread, sticky it, and an announcement leading to the sticky for the slow.Posted June 25th, 2012 at 09:52 PM by BinaryPeaches

I understand why you went for a blog post instead of a thread. But I guess you probably won't be able to get as much user input on a blog as you would on an official thread. The decision for the change in time span between PPCs is something which can be done in a much more efficient manner if we get as much feedback as possible. Go for a thread, Tara, I'd say.
And is it possible for announcements to be reply-able (I know that isn't a word w/e)? I mean, all announcements I have seen have been locked and they garner attention better than normal threads do. You can garner attention AND get more feedback if we have reply-able announcement. :oPosted June 25th, 2012 at 02:58 PM by Derozio

Didn't feel like it at the time. Again, I said I would move from blog to thread if needbe. This is just initial stuff.
I am in a grouchy mood I shouldn't be on right now. buh.
Anyways, I don't mind allowing past winners participate in the PPC again. Though Derodero beings up a good point. So the question is if we did allow them to go again what should we do about the time span between each one and so forth. I'll probably post a thread about this somewhere, idk. I think I want to actually put down some ideas before making an actual thread so it's a bit more organized.Posted June 25th, 2012 at 01:19 PM by BinaryPeaches

I would have posted a thread about this so it gets more attention btw. xD
Anyways I would think that we could simply allow previous winners to join again considering that the current schedule of switching from OT to PT and back again would make that work I guess?Posted June 25th, 2012 at 07:04 AM by Netto Azure

Well, if I remember correctly, they allowed past winners to participate and go for the win. But even if they won, they won't really be getting any emblem. Consider it being like one of those matches in boxing where they winners defend their crown by smashing all the other contenders into the ground. In short - If winner is a past PPC title holder, he won't get anything and will merely be there to increase competition among newcomers. Plus, there are plenty of previous PPC winners like me who might wanna participate just for the heck of it. I mean, its not like there are just a few past winners. Quite the opposite. Implementing this rule will have two benefits - It'll increase competition and might actually incline more people towards participation due to their competitive spirit or somethin'. And second - all previous winners who've just been watching along the sidelines will have something to do and might even help out in promotions in a much more efficient manner because they're personally excited for the PPC and want more competition (or MOAR NEWBIES TO ANNIHILATE MWAHAHA!).
..I guess, that's it. It has one problem, though. The time period between two PPCs can't be as long as 3 months if past winners are allowed. It might frustrate people and turn 'em away if only four PPC took place and half of the time the past winners won. :PPosted June 25th, 2012 at 04:48 AM by Derozio

The "if you won previous PPC's you cannot participate again" kinda drifted away a few people...or that's just what I've seen in my perspective. As Dero mentioned, you should let previous winners participate again. I was thinking of limiting how many times a winner can participate in the PPC, but idk...that'll still drift people away. lol
I wouldn't mind doing "themes" for the contest, kinda adds uniqueness to the competition, and it brings many ideas and well-creative profiles. Like for example...for the release of B2/W2, maybe we can make a PPC in Pokemon Trivia having contestants create profiles based on anything B2/W2?
Those are just thoughts. And I wouldn't mind being a host for the event, actually. I have so much time myself these days that idk what to use lol. I was wondering whatever happened to the PPC. I've always wanted to participate again (since they're really fun!), and I was waiting for news of the new PPC. xDPosted June 25th, 2012 at 04:40 AM by Meganium90
