Life #4
With depression what you need to do is go get help and force yourself to get help.
With thinking yourself ugly you need to first get rid of your depression and realize that a lot of how people perceive your appearance stems from a) how well you groom yourself and b)your confidence and how you dress. The rest generally comes from their own personal tastes.
Also people - especially in the teenage years of life - can be ridiculously petty so pay no mind to them and try to avoid being ridiculously petty yourself When you're being put down by others offline, they're usually insecure about something about themselves.Posted February 5th, 2013 at 11:43 PM by donavannj

Quite frankly yes. If you have the chance and the ability to change your current situation, but yet you still uphold that mentality, then it is your fault.
Change won't come if you don't do anything about those problems.Posted February 5th, 2013 at 04:56 AM by Curious.

ROM Hacking
Wow, some people are more messed up than I had imagined >_>
This.Quote:
Nonsense. Lack of motivation has nothing to do with how good you are, especially since what I've seen from whatever partial hacks you have made is pretty impressive, honestly.Quote:Originally Posted by FireworksFirst of all, I have never boasted about being good at hacking, honestly I think I'm a terrible hacker, and as such I'm always restarting or changing a bunch of stuff.
Anyway, I admit, I was somewhat a nubcake in taking criticism when I first got here. I didn't go all freakish on people, however, but I still found it quite annoying. Luckily that has long changed now ;DPosted November 27th, 2012 at 10:57 PM by PEDRO12

ROM Hacking
That's the internet/people in general, for you. :\Quote:
I think the ROM hacking forum has just gotten worse every time a new wave of n00bz join the site just to download the hacks they've seen and/or eventually try to learn hacking themselves. I guess there are still a few regulars left that are perfectly okay, but everyone else is just rude and arrogant, from what I've seen or heard. I've thought of getting back into it myself recently, but for the moment I've decided against it since I believe I'd just lose interest in it.
Anyway, I wish you luck with your current and/or any future hacks!Posted November 26th, 2012 at 10:15 PM by Eeveon

ROM Hacking
I second this.Quote:It's one of the biggest forums in PC so just ignore the nubcakes (regardless of regular or not) that hang around and focus on the ones that seem to actually want to learn something from everyone.
And you could always report them for their whatever if you find it offensive. It doesn't seem like that's appropriate for PC, even if it's not directly a post, so…
I hope it helps that I feel like you're coolios in my book.
Even though I often avoid the ROM hacking board, not because of nubcakes but because you can call me one of the worst hackers on the forum.Posted November 26th, 2012 at 04:28 AM by Hikari10
