    I suppose it does too, Alexial. And the guy too, they're both in actually (I assume as costume swaps).

    Isn't the Wii Fit lady a playable character in the new Super Smash now? :o It may not be traditionally defined, but that does argue the idea of non-playable character.

    An interesting read. I'm still mulling it over in my head, but it seems like a fair comparison. I'll have to get my Disney obsessed friend to read it and get his feedback.

    Neat read, although I'm iffy on this:
    It has been seven years since Nintendo introduced a new game series that really connected with its audience, and while Wii Sports and its sequel, Wii Sports Resort, sold a collective 111 million copies (when you count all the copies of Wii Sports packed in with Wii consoles), those games didn’t add a new character to Nintendo’s pantheon of stars.
    New characters or not, Wii Sports is a huge part as to why the Wii was a runaway success sales wise and with the casual market. I'd say it more than connected with its audience (that is, people who bought the Wii). As for the stuff on the Mario games feeling the same, spin offs of that franchise also exist, e.g. Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Luigi, and Paper Mario, and certainly the former two did quite well in sales in their latest outings, probably the third one too. And those games are most certainly taken in a different direction and style to the main games.

    Mario Galaxy is not a game I have actually played but from all that I have seen and heard of it too, it's got freshness to it as well.

    The article itself raises a lot of interesting and, well, kinda obvious points that I'm surprised I never noticed myself. Definitely an informative read. That said, it was actually the comments that caught my attention more. A lot of people are bringing up some really solid debates in there and I think there's a lot of room for a good, microscopic look at the two companies and their financial and industrial triumphs/failures.

    Once again, you managed to steal 15 minutes of my life. I will not be asking for a refund. Good job!

    also please don't leave forever k? ;;

    I personally haven't played the game yet, but I'm actually typing this now as my boyfriend is playing. Needless to say, I've gotten my dose of GTA:V in the past few days.

    I see my boyfriend, being of a similar persuasion of Tom Bissell when it comes to their addictive personalities, not always knowing when to stop, and not knowing how to moderate their behavior, enjoying the same kinds of things when it comes to the game's mechanics. Nick's not running from the cops (unless mission mandates), he's not shooting police helicopters from the highest building in Los Santos with rocket launchers, and more than once I've caught him just following the daily activities of one randomly picked citizen.

    Did you know that each individual in that game has a routine? They get up, they go to work, they get out, meet their family for food, go home, etc. Every single one of them follows a preordained path that changes from time to time, as easily as the weather (say, on the weekends when they don't go in to work). I just asked Nick, and his biggest complaint about the game is the driving mechanic, chiefly the fact that he can't use a blinker light to indicate to other drivers when he's turning.

    We've laughed endlessly at Trever's redneck, perverted, brokenness and the despair of having lost everything-- all while objectifying and romancing every man, woman, and object. We've philosophized about Micheal's pathetic attempts to win over his dysfunctional kids and earn back his estranged wife. And we've mourned over Franklin's desperation to separate his new white collar life from his old gangbanging ways.

    There is more to GTA:V than you'd initially think. And even the most objective driven gamers (and their passive girlfriends) can't help but to find an undeniable charm that transcends the mold most video games are subject to.

    The video brought me a few tears because I've been through the same thing, well the first half of the video anyways. It also brought be back to the past a bit as well. I was "broken up" by my boyfriend via Facebook and it was all due to pure jealousy. We both started our accounts together, added each other, and commented on each other's pictures. Then down the road, as I started to add my close friends irl and online, he started to become jealous because he wanted to be the one commenting on my pictures or my statuses first and not my friends/family. After the whole thing, I began to realize that facebook is a pure drama farm and people there will complain/whine/talk **** about every little thing you post about your life. And you know what, that random girl Noah found at chatroulette made a pretty good point there. Posting a facebook status about your grandmother's death...and generating 15 or so likes on facebook is just messed up in every way possible. To me it just implies that they are happy their grandmother died, and that's ****ing dumb.

    Echoing Alexial and Gavin, a lot of lessons can be learned from this clip, and sometimes I wish I learned them sooner. Relationships nowadays can sometimes be invaded by facebook or social media and even if you're pretty careful, the signs are still there.

    tl;dr: I really enjoyed the video, tbh. Very nicely done.

    I found this to be.. really sad for all participating parties. :( I get that there's supposed to be a happy ending and all but, idk, I see this more as warning than a love story. I don't have anything against social media personally, but I don't have a Facebook or Twitter or anything. Though I like to think that it comes from being a neutralist on the subject rather than a pessimist.

    Nevertheless, I think a lot can be learned from this video. Good on ya!
