I like the bassline, and it is kind of relaxing. It makes for a good background music song.

Aahhh. Another great song. The chorus' tune is great and the lyrics are amusing. I don't have the version with the orchestral version though. Then again, the one I got was from Limewire which told me Falco was the artist, so... =P

I approve of your dad in this case. XD

I listen to some Coldplay, but hm this is the first time I heard this song. My take is yeah the relationship is going downhill but is given a second chance, heh. Chris Martin did great with the chorus there.
It is such a nice song but it and a lot more isn't really well known sadly, especially compared to say Paradise.

    Your claim to fame! =p

I couldn't hear the song in the sound player so I went ahead and opened up the spoiler to see what it was. I would have identified that song pretty quickly lol.

But then, I do listen to a lot of music from that era, so that'd explain why.
Yeah, as said once you know what the song is then it's hard to forget when you hear it. And odd with that music player; did it fail for other people? Because the sound player worked, and still works, for me. Bah.

You are welcome! Hurrah for actually doing a song that's as awesome as this that isn't known by everyone, haha.

You should listen to more of their music then. =p Down to the Waterline for instance has very nice guitar too.

Wow, what an interesting song. I have actually never heard of this group and I have never heard of this song as well. I will be sure to look up more from this group, I think I might dabble more in this particular genre as well. Thanks for posting =)
    You're welcome!

But for those who didn't know of the band Dire Straits - you really should check out the whole album the song is from! The other song Down to the Waterline linked above (and here) is the first track of their self-titled album. Which is not bad at all for a debut album too!
