    wow, i feel almost speechless after that. seems like youve been through it all. I remember you from a while ago, ive also decided to comeback to hacking(under a new name), in hopes to learn asm.

    Well even though the story was the most tragic I ever heard in years,it's great to see it's all left behind in the past,2010 was a time of struggle no?,either way it's great thing you explained with every last detail on this subject,time sure dose fly fast right Allen?

    I hope so to, I remember having so much fun on here back in the day. This time I think I will get more technical with romhacking. All I used to do was tile insert, so now I think I will script and possibly try some asm coding.

    It got worse...

    Oh... well if the computer doesn't even boot then it could just be the boot files, however, it sounds like the hard drive has failed, especially if its giving an I/O error. Sorry I am not able to help.

    It got worse...

    I can't do that though... as the OS won't boot because of the disk I/o error. I removed the disk and it cooled off so now I have a media test failure.

    If you open Computer Managment (use the run command and type compmgmt.msc) Under Storage, select Disk Management. it will take a second to load, once it does it shows you all of your installed Hard drives and their partitions, it will also tell you if a disk is healthy or not. Would not hurt to check just to be sure.

    Only 2 weeks after replacing my hard drive to... I'm probably going to post pone fixing it till December as that's when I get money because of my birthday. Man I need to get a job...

    My forum got hacked :(

    I've learned from my mistakes. I have now been backing up weekly and I got one of my hacker friends to install a script that will give the hacker a virus when they try to SQL inject it. After we installed the script, the hackers tried to hack it again and they failed. Apparently it was Philippino hackers who were part of a different gaming community who didn't want competition.

    Sadly, even if he knew it was a risk, he may not have known how to prevent it. Don't judge him for it.

    Still, this is why I argue against newbies attempting to run their own websites. Your forum could have been far more secure if you'd used a free forum service like ProBoards or ZetaBoards. Additionally, you can make upgrades to these 'Free' forums for a nominal fee, cheaper than hosting your own vB forum.

    Still, it's crucial to backup your database at least monthly if not weekly as you have now learned the hard way.

    Sadly the internet is full of *******s like that. It'd be nice if they'd all go away, but they simply won't, so measures must be taken to prevent mischief by such parties.

    Well... if you knew SQL injection was a risk, why didn't you take measures to prevent it?

    Seriously, make a list of the pros and cons, score them on a scale of 0-3 and see which side weighs more. Simple way to make a decision!~
