Anime recommendations please? :D

So, I'm bored and also went on hiatus for two RPs I'm in on LJ, so if the Wi-Fi where I'm at doesn't act up much like it has been (it's been good so far, surprisingly O_O), I'll probably be able to get on here more often.

Thus, I'd like to hear anyone's anime suggestions. I'm not too keen on mechas (Gurren Lagann being the only exception, so far), and if the series is too long, I'll probably resort to reading the manga, if available.

Anime night!

Well, after the Family Movie Night (Monsters vs Aliens) I decided to extend it to Misheard Whisper's Anime Night. As such, the schedule is as follows, unless interrupted by nosy family members.

10.05 pm - Current time
10.35 pm - Princess Mononoke (abridged XP)

Sooo yeah, Nakakon is Kansas City's local anime convention, and I'm gonna be there all three days. Should be good times, but I got to wondering if anyone else here was going.

I'd be surprised if many people have even heard of Naka Kon before, let alone thinking of attending, but it was just a thought. xD I know PC doesn't have tooo many members from Kansas, but cons normally have people from aaalll over.



am I the only PC member whose gonna be there?...

Wow, took me long enough

Anyway, I TOTALLY missed the fan fiction panel, because I was engaged in a Pokemon Battle Revolution battle in the game room (yeah, I bring my DS and Platinum EVERYWHERE). Won my first match but lost my second. The second guy had a slick combo of Umbreon's Curse and Baton Pass, and Azumarill's Aqua Jet. And Weezing went down earlier so I couldn't use her to Haze...

My first anime convention and it was AWESOME! So many awesome cosplays, so much to do... and this was only day one!

Team Rocket showed up today, as did (a much larger, bearded) Ash and Misty, though I never saw them do battle. Also there: Voice actors Wendy Powell (Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist) and Todd Haberkorn (Hikaru from Ouran High School Host Club). I sat through a couple of Q&A sessions with them , and got autographs and a photo taken with them!
