iSKETCH GALLERY! Also: How do I enjoy the Get Together, let me count the ways...

As much for my reference as anything, here's what I've entered so far in the Get-Together:
  1. AMV Contest: Entered this with my "That's What Anime Girls Do!" video.
  2. Small Writing Contest: A one-shot I thought of in like a day and a half, lol. Ends my seven month drought of writing.
  3. Weekend Nights of Trivia Contest: I actually won the first round, "Pokemon General"!
  4. Photography Contest: Entered with a picture of a sunset outside my parent's home.

...wait, haven't I already made a blog post with that exact same title?

As you guys should be aware of, there is a fifth gen pokemon drawing contest as part of this year's Get-together. I entered a drawing of Tsutaaja late last night, but I was initially doing a drawing of Hihidoruma. I decided to scrap it halfway through coloring because I looked through Gymnotide's judging criteria and realized that I didn't quite fit in well (and the fact that the drawing itself sucks utterly....

Quick Update

I am now on vacation in South Carolina, which means I now have regular internet access, so expect to see me on a LOT more often. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing depends on how much you enjoy my random Buick and Quality Inn ramblings.

Also I am looking for a skilled artist to draw some fan art of my original character, Lisa. Sadly, I have nothing to offer in return at this time but cookies, but if you're feeling generous, give me a shout.

Ye Olde Art Section

So you all know that PC's got an art section, and perhaps you all know how it's faring.

I thought I'd take a bit to analyze the situation and dissect things that are probably obvious anyway. It is something I do a lot, after all.

Let's look at the nature of PC itself:
  • It's a discussion forum, which means that words and text are arguably the focus rather than pictures.
  • On the same note, PC being a forum automatically allows it to lean its imagery focus towards forum-related
