Something I wrote for English class today.

Diversity.
It's a simple nine-letter word.
And everyone has it.
It defines who you are,
And it defines what you do.

Diversity separates us,
And it also keeps us together.
It blurs the lines
Between black and white
And lets us be who we are.

Diversity breaks you apart from the norm.
It lets you make decisions.
It lets you commit to things.
It lets you think freely.
And it lets you stop short of jumping off the proverbial cliff.

Diversity equals freedom.
Freedom to do what you want.
If diversity wasn't a thing,
We'd all think, talk, and walk the same.
And you wouldn't be able to be you.

I just really liked it and I wanted to post it here. I don't normally write, but... WOW.
