I'll never be ready for summer.

Summer.

I dread that word.

Why?

Well, this summer I'm going to be forced to go to this program called GAP. I don't want to go, the school is forcing me to so I therefore have no choice. The school apparently doesn't think I should be allowed to do nothing in the summer, and are therefore making me go to this program I mentioned before. They say "my IQ is too high, but you qualify because you're in special education classes." ........... They could have said I don't qualify at all.

Besides, my IQ is 90. I'm stupid. That's how I see it. I need to find a way to boost my IQ.

Ever since then I'm now paranoid about my IQ and don't exactly feel happy with myself again. ^^; Oh well...

I would like to start off by saying that you're not stupid. Digits do not determine one's intelligence. Yes, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, but that's what makes us unique.

On a personal side, I've always been envious of those that are "naturally intelligent". It's as if it comes to them as second nature. But, around when I was 15, I made a commitment not to let that affect me. I remember saying, "Why should I constantly measure myself with them? I should be running my own race."

I know I don't know your personal story but, just by reading your blog it gave me a vague impression of your persona. You're young and you have a very long road ahead of you. Each and every one of us have our own and separate roads with their unique obstacles along the way. It's how we react and try to overcome them that makes us stand out.

Don't let any obstacle be your "reason" why you can't do this or that. A strong and positive mind will always overcome anything it sets its mind to.

As for the program called GAP, i'm sure it's not a 7am - 12am thing lol. I'm actually taking 4 summer courses this summer to advance my studies. I have to work 2x as hard in order to keep my 3.8 GPA something that was very hard to do. Don't let that ruin your summer. Plan your summer and enjoy it thoroughly.
